If you are attempting to unlock the “For Academic Purposes” achievement in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, you will need to find all seven books on a character called Liliana. These books are located in one area, and though some can be purchased, others are only displayed. Here, we will guide you exactly where to look for each Liliana book so you can find them all and unlock the achievement.
All Books About Liliana Locations
There are seven Liliana books you can collect in the game, but you won’t be able to get any of them until you reach the second region, Cuanacht. Once you’re there, head to the main city in the center of the map. Look for a shop called Vrell’s Bookstore, it’s located right near the Cuanacht Main Square fast travel point.
Go inside and talk to the shopkeeper, Vrell. After a bit of conversation, you’ll unlock access to her store inventory. Once that’s done, you’ll find that she sells a selection of books, five of which are directly related to Liliana.
The other two Liliana books aren’t for sale, but you can still find them on display. They’re sitting right on the shelf in front of the bookstore entrance. If you want, you can steal them, but be warned, doing so will immediately alert the guards. If you’re planning to go that route, it’s probably best to try it at night when the shop is quieter.

- Beautiful Liliana and the Lustful Marquise, Volume II (Shelf)
- Beautiful Liliana in the Dal Riata Captivity (Bookstore)
- Beautiful Liliana in the Chamber of Ecstasy (Bookstore)
- Beautiful Liliana and the Forbidden Pleasure (Bookstore)
- Beautiful Liliana and the Forbidden Pleasure, Volume II (Bookstore)
- Beautiful Liliana and the Lustful Marquise (Bookstore)
Once you’ve collected all seven books, make sure to open each one. You don’t need to read the whole thing; just opening them is enough. After that, the “For Academic Purposes” trophy or achievement will unlock. If you want a discount from the bookstore, first complete the Temptation quest.
