Beor is one of the most interesting characters you will meet in Tainted Grail, and he is someone you can romance. But winning his heart isn’t easy as it involves tough choices. This guide will walk you through every step you need to take, from your first meeting in Cuanacht to the confession.
How To Romance Beor
Head towards Cuanacht, make sure to stop by Erfyr’s house. Here, you will find both Erfyr and Beor. Erfyr will tell you that Beor was attacked in a nearby cave and is in pretty bad shape. To help him, you will need to go into that cave yourself.
Once you are inside, you will come across a Fae who has literally stolen Beor’s heart. Defeat the Fae, take the heart, and bring it back to Beor. Erfyr will return it to Beor’s chest, and that will wrap up this part of the quest.
But don’t forget about Beor. If you check back in with him a few days later, it will start a new questline The Heart That Defies. If you make the right choice during this quest, you will get the chance to romance him.
The Heart That Defies
During the quest, Beor opens up to you, his heart isn’t working right, and he needs your help to create a new one. Now, head to the bottom-right corner of the Cuanacht map and find Kvorr. His location is marked in the map above. Kvorr is a member of the Dal Riata. He knows how to craft a new heart, but you will need to bring him two items:
- 1 Wyrdstone
- 10 Ethereal Cobwebs.
Choose How to Help Beor
Once Kvorr finishes the heart, you will face a tough choice. You can either fill it using the souls of people you have killed or give it to Beor empty; both choices will block the chance of romancing him. If you want to keep that path open, you will need to choose the selfless option: sacrifice some of your own life force. It will permanently reduce your max HP by 40, but it’s the only way to show Beor how much he means to you.
After making that choice, wait a few days and visit Beor again. He will be glad to see you and will ask for your help forging a warhammer for someone important. You will need to collect three things:
- Black Alder wood
- His family’s iron
- Whispering Crystals
Beor will guide you to where you can find them. Once you bring everything back, he will take some time to finish the weapon. When it’s ready, he will give it to you, and confess how he feels. If you return those feelings, you will begin a romance with him. From then on, you can visit Beor now and then to share stories from your travels and grow even closer.
