If you’ve reached the Oakveil Woodlands in V Rising 1.1, you’re likely beginning to know a new resource known as Emery. This is a rare material that has a significant role in creating high-level gear and constructing strong structures later on in the game. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find Emery, how to safely mine it, and all the ways you can use it.
How to Get Emery in V Rising 1.1
You can obtain Emery by mining Emery Nodes located within the Oakveil Woodlands. Occasionally, it also drops as loot from Alchemists found in Oakvel Woodlands. You can also get the material from breaking wooden boxes and crates in an enemy encampment in the Oakveil Woodlands.
To mine Emery Nodes, you will require any weapon of Gear Level 23 or higher. Just take care not to hit the nodes too quickly, or they’ll blow up and scatter chunks everywhere.

Another way to get Emery is to beat an Emery Golem. These golems are disguised as Emery nodes, and trying to mine such nodes will wake the golem. Emery Golem nodes are easy to tell apart from your normal nodes.
How to Use Emery in V Rising 1.1
Emery is one of the major crafting materials you’ll require once you are more advanced in V Rising, particularly in the Oakveil content. After you’ve accumulated enough Emery, the following is what you can use it to do:
1. Create Ember Glass
One of the main uses for Emery is to craft Ember Glass, an advanced material used in higher-tier recipes. To make it, head to your Advanced Furnace and combine:
- 20 Emery (or just 15 if you’ve unlocked efficiency upgrades)
- 8 Venom Sap (or 6 with upgrades)
Ember glass can be used to fuse two ancestral weapons or jewels. And it is also used to build Fusion Forge. You can unlock the recipe of ember glass by defeating Dantos the Forgebinder.
2. Build the Redistribution Engine
If you want to mass-produce resources more effectively, the Redistribution Engine is a very nice structure to unlock. To construct it, you’ll require:
- 6 Charged Batteries
- 80 Emery
The Redistribution Engine is an efficient but complicated machine that allows you to transfer items between crafting stations automatically. It streamlines your production and saves time by minimizing manual transfers. You can unlock the Redistribution Engine by defeating Henry Blackbrew the Doctor.
3. Construct the Athenaeum
The Athenaeum is an important building that enables you to study high-tier technologies and equipment. To build it, you will require:
- 20 Schematics
- 100 Emery
- 8 Reinforced Planks
- 4 Dark Silver Ingots
When you use Schematics, they reveal a random blueprint for tier 3 technology. If you’re taking the random discovery path, you’ll require a total of 4,740 Schematics to reveal everything in tier 3. It’s difficult, but it spares you from tracking down individual recipes one by one. You can unlock the Athenaeum structure by defeating the Henry Blackbrew the Doctor.
