Combat plays a significant role in RuneScape Dragonwilds, and players will often face intense battles that demand quick healing during the fight. While maintaining your hunger levels allows your character to gradually regenerate health when out of harm’s way, this method isn’t always practical—particularly when you’re under constant attack from ranged enemies or overwhelmed by multiple foes. In such cases, taking a sip of a healing potion is the most effective solution.
How to Craft a Healing Potion in RuneScape Dragonwilds
Creating your first healing potion in RuneScape Dragonwilds involves several steps, but once you’ve done it the first time, making more becomes much easier. To start, you’ll need the following ingredients for the Brewing Cauldron:
- 1x Harralander
- 1x Redberries
- 1x Clay Vessel
While the recipe itself looks simple, the real challenge lies in preparing the Clay Vessel and gathering charcoal to fuel the Cauldron. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to brew your first healing potion:
Step 1: Collecting Harralander and Clay in the Whispering Swamp
Head north of Bramblemead Valley to the murky Whispering Swamp. If your character is low-level, it’s best to explore during the day to avoid stronger or aggressive enemies.
Harralander can be found scattered across the swamp, so gather plenty if you want to craft potions in bulk. Look for Clay Nodes in the same area and use a pickaxe to mine clay from them. Acquiring clay for the first time will unlock the Brewing Cauldron, Pottery Wheel, and Kiln.
Note: The Redberries can be easily found near the entrance of the Bramblemead Valley.
Step 2: Making the Clay Vessel
After gathering the materials, return to your base and construct a Pottery Wheel and a Brewing Cauldron. You’ll also need to build a Kiln outside your base and fuel it with Ash Logs to produce charcoal.
Next, shape the raw clay into a Clay Vessel (Unfired) using the Pottery Wheel. Then, place the unfired vessel into the Kiln to fire it into a usable Clay Vessel for potion brewing.
Step 3: Brewing the Healing Potion
With all the components ready—charcoal, Harralander, Redberries, and the Clay Vessel—place them into the Brewing Cauldron and fuel it with charcoal. This will produce a healing potion that restores 40% of your health instantly, making it far more effective than waiting for natural regeneration.
You can also find healing potions by looting Goblin Bags dropped by goblin enemies throughout RuneScape Dragonwilds.
