How to Get the Abyssal Whip in Runescape DragonWilds

If you’re looking to step up your arsenal, the Abyssal Whip is one weapon you don’t want to miss. It is known for its powerful damage output, it’s long been a fan-favorite, and now, it’s finally obtainable in this new game. This guide will walk you through every step of crafting your very own Abyssal Whip.

How to Get the Abyssal Whip

One of the most iconic weapons in RuneScape, the Abyssal Whip, is now available in DragonWilds, and naturally, many players are eager to get their hands on it.

Where to Find and Defeat the Abyssal Demon

The first major step is defeating the Abyssal Demon, a fearsome enemy that can be found on the left side of the Whispering Swamp. But there’s a clever trick to make the fight much easier. Near the demon’s location is a rune-covered building. By casting the Windstep spell, players can leap onto the roof and safely attack the demon from above, completely out of its reach. That said, there’s a chance this exploit could be patched, so it’s best to take advantage of it while it lasts.

Tracking Down the Elusive Ram Horns

Once the demon is down, it drops Abyssal Spines, a crucial item needed for crafting the whip. You will also need the Ram Horns. You can find the rams in the dangerous Stormtouched Highlands. It’s a hostile region, so going in with strong gear or a good escape plan is highly recommended.

Crafting the Whip

With both Abyssal Spines and Ram Horns in hand, it’s time to craft the weapon. Players will need access to the Vault Core. At a crafting station, combining these materials creates the powerful Abyssal Whip. It deals heavy damage and completely changes the feel of a fight. Equipping the whip is an instant confidence boost.

After gathering more materials and crafting a second one, it was found unfortunately, that it isn’t currently possible. Still, even having one whip makes a big impact, and it’s worth the effort for anyone exploring DragonWilds. Maybe future updates will introduce dual-wielding, but for now, players can enjoy slicing through enemies with one of RuneScape’s most iconic weapons.
