In RuneScape: Dragonwilds, planks are very important to craft and upgrade many different items, ranging from equipment to useful stations. However, plank making isn’t something you can immediately do from the beginning. You’ll have to unlock the Sawmill and acquire a few specific materials beforehand. Once you have made your planks, they provide new crafting options, such as being able to upgrade your Tanner’s Kit and construct vital stations such as the Loom and Cooking Range. Here in this guide, we are going to guide you through the procedure of making and utilizing planks to your journey in Dragonwilds.
How to Make Planks
To craft Planks, you’ll need a Sawmill, but you won’t have access to it right away. First, you need to get your hands on some Bronze Bars, which are made by smelting Tin and Copper Ore at a Furnace. Once you unlock the Sawmill recipe, here’s what you’ll need to build it:
- 18 Ash Logs
- 4 Bronze Bars
- 8 Stone
The area where you can find Bronze Bars is recommended for players with Level 3 gear, so be prepared to face enemies around that level. You can try sneaking in if you’re under-leveled, but there’s a good chance you’ll end up in a fight.
Once you’ve gathered everything, open the Build menu, head to the Crafting section, and place the Sawmill. That’ll finally let you start turning regular wood into planks.
How to Use Planks
This item is used in several recipes, including the upgrade for Hard Leather in the Tanner’s Kit. You can also use it to build the Loom. Plus, once you craft your first Ash Plank, you’ll unlock the Cooking Range. This station allows you to prepare filling meals or cook raw meat to keep yourself well-fed.
