Wuchang Fallen Feathers – Bo Magus Boss Fight & Location

The Bo Magus is one of the tougher boss fights in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and you’ll find her deep within the ruins of Worship’s Rise. She’s fast, powerful, and uses a mix of magical and Feathering attacks that can easily overwhelm you if you’re not prepared. This guide will help you find her location, get your build ready, understand her moves, and learn how to survive both phases of the battle.

How to Find the Bo Magus Boss

Head to the Palace Entrance shrine in Worship’s Rise in Ruins. From there, take the path to the left and climb down the ladder. Just keep following the route and you’ll reach the boss area. It’s a tough fight, so make sure you’re at least level 85 before going in.

How to Prepare for the Bo Magus Fight

She mainly deals Feathering damage, so it’s a good idea to boost your defences against that. She also causes Corruption build-up, so keep a Purple Camelia in your quick-use slot; you’ll likely need it during the fight.

As for spells, she’s pretty resistant to all of them, so just go with whichever type matches your highest stat, either Magic or Feathering. If you picked up the Echo of Honglan earlier, it can be really helpful here, especially if you pair it with Alacrity to give yourself a nice, long invincibility window.

When it comes to weapons, anything works, but you might actually prefer slower, heavier-hitting ones. Even though Bo Magus is quick on her feet, she’s pretty easy to knock down. Weapons like the Longsword or Axe are great, especially if you use a Charged Heavy Attack.

Bo Magus Boss Moveset

The Bo Magus fight has two phases, but don’t worry, they both share the same health bar. The second phase isn’t a full transformation; it’s more of a powered-up version of the first, where she adds new attacks and upgrades her old ones.

Phase One

In the first phase, the Bo Magus mixes magic and ranged attacks, with lots of flashy spells and tricks.

She’ll sometimes jump into the air and throw a Spectral Spear at you. This is easy enough to dodge, but stay alert, she often follows it up with a Spear Dash, where she charges toward you and then past you to keep her distance. When her spear starts glowing white, it’s a clear sign she’s about to dash, so get ready to dodge and then chase her down while she’s recovering.

Another move she uses is Winged Projectiles, where she summons a wing and shoots out homing shots. They travel slowly, but can easily catch you off guard if you forget about them while dodging her other attacks. Stay alert and keep moving.

Sometimes, she does a little dance before summoning giant Spectral Guardians, big bird-like spirits that swing at you one at a time. They only stick around for a single attack, but their swings hit hard and can knock you down, so prioritise dodging them.

She’ll also use Corruption Flames, conjuring a purple fire in her hand and throwing it to the ground. It spreads outward and deals heavy damage, so it’s best to keep some distance from her and time your dodge based on how close you are to the flames.

Watch out for her Corpse Summon, where hands rise up from the ground to grab your feet and hold you in place. This can happen while she’s prepping other moves, usually during that dancing animation so keep moving to avoid getting trapped.

One more thing: she summons Tracking Flames, floating orbs that follow you and explode after a few seconds. They won’t hurt you right away, so you can still get in some hits, but be sure to back off once they start getting close.

Phase Two

Once her health drops below about 60%, she shifts into her second phase, becoming faster, more aggressive, and adding some dangerous new moves.

One of the biggest threats is her Impenetrable Shield. She slams her spear into the ground multiple times, dealing huge damage and knocking you back. Then, she puts up a magic shield that blocks all incoming damage. You’ll need to keep attacking the shield to break it. If you drop her HP quickly, she’ll trigger this move right away. But if the fight is progressing more gradually, she may teleport away before starting it, so be ready for either version.

She also has a devastating move called Divine Sword. She teleports to the entrance of the arena, floats into the air, and creates a massive glowing sword that crashes down and fills part of the arena with dangerous energy. It’s tricky to dodge, so the safest method is to run all the way to the back corner of the arena. Once the sword explodes and the energy clears, you can safely return to the fight.

In this phase, she enhances her spear into a Feathered Glaive and uses it for sweeping spins and slashes. The Glaive Spin hits all around her, dealing big damage. Try dodging into the attack and sneaking behind her for a Charged Heavy Attack, which can knock her down fast.

Sometimes, in the middle of her combos, she’ll leap to the side and slash with the glaive to reposition and catch you off guard. Again, dodging into her during these moves is the safest approach, helping you stay close and potentially land some counterattacks.

She’ll also perform fast, forward glaive slashes, which she can chain together or use to close the distance. These look like they could be blocked, but don’t try; it won’t work. Nearly all her attacks are magical or Feathering-based, which means they can’t be deflected or parried like physical ones.

Overall, the Bo Magus is a tough opponent, but once you learn her patterns and stay mobile, you’ll find plenty of openings to strike back. Prioritise dodging, manage your distance, and don’t get greedy, especially in phase two.

How to Defeat the Bo Magus Boss

As soon as you enter the arena, the Bo Magus will slowly float down from above and land in the centre. This is your chance, rush in quickly and land a few hits. Once she touches the ground completely, hit her with a Charged Heavy Attack to knock her down and get a strong early advantage.

Throughout the fight, try to keep up the pressure. Building up her stagger meter is key. Once it’s full, you can perform an Obliterate attack that deals massive damage. That’s why it’s a good idea to bring a ranged spell, even if it doesn’t do much damage. Just landing a hit, even from a distance, helps keep the stagger meter from resetting. If you keep chipping away and stay aggressive, you’ll wear her down much faster.

When the Bo Magus’s health drops to around 50%, she starts charging up her shield and prepares to unleash her ultimate attack. But here’s a neat trick: you can actually delay this by using crowd control moves. Skills like the Axe’s Rampage or the Spear’s Upward Force can interrupt her and slow down the process.

Even if you’re not normally using those weapons, you can still take advantage of the weapon swap system. Just switch to the Axe or Spear for a moment, use the crowd control skill to interrupt her, and then quickly switch back to your main weapon to keep up the pressure. It’s a great way to buy yourself some extra time and avoid getting overwhelmed by her ultimate too soon.
