Wuchang Fallen Feathers – All Bamboozling Locations (Bamboozling Return Trophy / Achievement Guide)

If you want to unlock the Bamboozling Return trophy or achievement in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, you’ll need to find and defeat all 20 Bamboozlings in a single playthrough. You can also trade the Bamboo Shoots that you have collected with the Panda NPC for special rewards. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find every Bamboozling so you don’t miss a single one on your journey.

All Bamboozling Locations in Wuchang Fallen Feathers

There are 20 Bamboozlings hidden throughout Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and if you want to unlock the Bamboozling Return trophy or achievement, you’ll need to find and defeat every single one of them in the same playthrough. So make sure you don’t miss any along the way there’s no going back once you finish the game.

Little creatures known as bamboo shoots emerge from the ground and attempt to flee as soon as you approach them. If you don’t remove them quickly enough, they will re-burrow into the ground and vanish. But don’t worry, you can force them to return by resting at the closest shrine. These Bamboo Shoots can be gathered and exchanged for special items with the Panda NPC.

1. Bamboo Shoot Location – Lightzen Temple

In Wuchang, Fallen Feathers is probably going to be the first Bamboo Shoot creature you come across. After defeating the Man-Eating Dhutanga, enter via the door that leads outside. If you turn right and keep your eyes on the ground, you should see the small man come out.

2. Bamboo Shoot Location – Shu Sanctum

From when you first see Nian Suichang, continue straight ahead. Another Bamboo Shoot will appear shortly. Don’t wait too long because this one disappears as it gets closer to the cave entrance.

3. Bamboo Shoot Location – Shu Sanctum (Storyteller Reward)

You can obtain a Bamboo Shoot in a different way inside the same cave where you initially encounter the Panda NPC. Speak with the Storyteller there before you depart. He will give you one if you continue to go through all of his dialogue options.

4. Bamboo Shoot Location – Shu Sanctum (Village Yard)

Proceed through the barn on your left after battling the fire-breathing demon in the village yard. Another Bamboo Shoot creature will appear in the garden.

5. Bamboo Shoot Location – Mercury Workshop

It’s a little harder to get this one. From the quick travel station at Mercury Workshop, descend one level. Look for a passageway with a ladder you can climb to reach an area covered in crimson tendrils. If you keep going through there, you will eventually come to the Bamboo Shoot.

6. Bamboo Shoot Location – Doomwillow Beach

Play through the area until you come upon the Red-Clad Lady. Then take the slope road to the right. Take quick action if you want to catch the Bamboo Shoot because it will run away and vanish when it reaches a pool of blood at the end.

7. Bamboo Shoot Location – Tang Palace (Palace Hill)

Past the Shrine in this area, look along the left side of the path and you’ll see this tiny plant moving around.

8. Bamboo Shoot Location – Rebel Camp

We found this one in the Rebel Camp after a bit of chaos. From the Snowy Passage, head into the cave on the right and ride the elevator up to the camp..

9. Bamboo Shoot Location – Rebel Camp / Cloudspire Outskirts

This one’s right in the middle of the town, near a pyre that keeps spawning undead. Just a heads-up: enemies will be firing cannons at you here.

10. Bamboo Shoot Location – Snowfall Palace

To the left of the main stairway leading into the palace is a small lane where you can discover this one. Because of its proximity to a shrine, it will respawn if you miss it and it burrows away.

11. Bamboo Shoot Location – Shaft Entrance

Enter the tunnel with the swinging pendulum traps from the quick travel point at the shaft entrance. Look for a side ledge that you can descend to. The Bamboo Shoot will soon be visible if you continue down that lower trail as it twists around.

12. Bamboo Shoot Location – Bride’s Boudoir

This one requires some caution. Starting from the Bride’s Boudoir Shrine, continue through the corridors and cells until you reach a central area with a bridge. In the center of that bridge is a letter or message. Don’t go on it just yet. Talk to the Storyteller by first looking to the right. You will receive the Bamboo Shoot from him. The bridge falls if you cross it in the middle, plunging you into a boss encounter. Get the photo before testing the bridge because the Storyteller might disappear after that.

13. Bamboo Shoot Location – Avian Marsh

This one can be a bit tricky to find. Starting from the Avian Marsh Shrine, explore the lower paths that loop around. Eventually, you’ll find a ladder you can kick down, creating a shortcut back to the Shrine. From this area with the ladder, head forward until you spot a glowing raven known on your left. Look to your right, and you’ll see a giant nest. Drop into the giant nest, and a Bamboo Shoot will spawn near you. Just be quick to grab it.

14. Bamboo Shoot Location – Avian Dwelling

After passing through those creepy underground caves filled with Despair enemies, you’ll arrive at the upper level of the Avian Dwelling. There’s a massive fallen tree acting as a bridge across a chasm leading to the Tomb. As you cross that tree trunk bridge, the Bamboo Shoot will pop up.

15. Bamboo Shoot Location – Zhenwu Antechamber

This one shows up just before you reach the training plaza full of soldiers and monks. To get there, you’ll need to take the long path that involves climbing two tall pavilions. Once you’re on the bridge to the plaza, the Bamboo Shoot will appear. If you miss it because of all the enemies, just keep going until you unlock the shortcut door to the building with the Shrine. After resting there, return to the bridge and check again sometimes the nearby cannons will even destroy the Shoot for you!

16. Bamboo Shoot Location – Pavilion of Knowledge

This one’s easy to get. Inside the Pavilion of Knowledge, you’ll meet the Storyteller NPC. Talk to him, and he’ll give you a Bamboo Shoot.

18. Bamboo Shoot Location – Reverent Temple

Follow the forest trail that leads back toward the massive Reverent Temple gates. When you reach a fork in the path where a magical-feathered Goldwing appears, keep heading straight. The Bamboo Shoot will appear here just watch out for the two Despair hounds that ambush you right after.

19. Bamboo Shoot Location – Annalum Courtyard

From Shu Sanctum, make your way to the cliffside near the “Faces of the Past” statue you saw earlier. Use the invisible ledges to cross the gap until you reach the far side with those strange red tendrils. The Bamboo Shoot will spawn shortly after. Be ready it can vanish quickly if you’re not paying attention.

20. Bamboo Shoot Location – Palace Vegetable Garden

Head toward the Tang Palace and go to the back where a group of enemies is fighting each other. Keep walking down the stone path until you spot a river of blood-red water. As you get closer, the Bamboo Shoot will appear nearby. Strike fast before it escapes.

21. Bamboo Shoot Location – Palace Pass

From where you found the last one, keep moving forward until you reach a cliffside area. Across the gap, there’s a sorceress who’ll start throwing spells at you. Dodge them and sprint down the red tendrils toward the battlement walkway. As you cross the tendril bridge, the Bamboo Shoot will appear.
