Willpower Oblivion Remastered Explained

If you’re in the Oblivion Remastered and planning to use a lot of magic, understanding Willpower is important. Willpower helps your Magicka come back faster and makes certain magic skills even stronger. In this guide, we’ll break down exactly what Willpower does, why it matters, and how you can increase it to become a powerful magic user.

Willpower in Oblivion Remastered

In Oblivion Remastered, Willpower is a key trait that determines how fast your Magicka recharges. When your Willpower is low, Magicka will recharge slowly. But when your Willpower is high, you’ll recover Magicka much quicker, since you use Magicka to cast spells.

In Oblivion Remastered, Willpower is the primary trait that increases your Alteration, Destruction, and Restoration skills. These are all forms of magic such as spells that heal, deal damage, or assist with various utility effects. Increasing your Willpower makes these abilities more powerful and also speeds up your Magicka recharge. And boosts your maximum Fatigue essentially your Stamina. Willpower doesn’t do anything with your weapons at all with your Magicka and Fatigue. So if you’re going to concentrate on magic, spending Willpower is a good decision.

How to increase Willpower

If you need to increase your Willpower in Oblivion Remastered, you’ll have to allocate virtues to it. Each virtue you allocate adds a +1 to your Willpower, and you can allocate up to five virtues to an attribute upon leveling up.

Every time your character upgrades, you will have the opportunity to choose where to spend your virtues, so do invest in Willpower if you need quicker Magicka restoration and more powerful magic skills.

If you need classes that complement high Willpower in Oblivion Remastered, here are the list: Crusader, Healer, Mage, Monk, Nightblade, and Spellsword. These classes will actually gain the most from increasing Willpower, as they use a great deal of magic for healing, attacking, and utility spells.
