Entry Requirements: Two Paths to an Invite
The Velvet Shade sect usually looks for members who stand out, either through their fashion sense or their dramatic social lives.
The Divorce Strategy (The Guaranteed Method)
If marrying isn’t successful, the sect will reach out after a hasty marriage and separation, but you will need to meet the following requirements first.
- Starting a Partnership: The quickest way to achieve the highest level of intimacy with another character is by giving them gifts until your relationship reaches the “Companionship” level. Once you have done that, travel to The Red Maple Forest and speak with Shi Yimo to arrange the Marriage.
- Ending it Quickly: After the ceremony, return to Shi Yimo and choose the “Sever Partnership” option.
- 24-Hour Waiting Period: There is a 24-hour waiting period for finalizing the divorce.
- Finalizing Divorce: After 24 hours of waiting has passed, you may return to Shi Yimo for finalization of the divorce.
Once finalized, check your inventory. There will be a Velvet Shade Invitation in your inventory. Using this invitation starts a short quest that will allow you to officially join the Sect.
The Fashion Route (Currently Unreliable)
To get invited to the event, you have to gain maximum Elegance score by wearing the rarest and most beautiful cosmetics possible, However, it appears the methods of maximizing Elegance rating are not currently consistent due to technical glitches affecting the requirements or no implementation of it in the global version yet.
Troubleshooting
If you do not receive an invitation after the conclusion of your divorce, you could restart your game to refresh the inventory menu. If after restarting, the invitation does not show up or is still missing, then you will need to repeat the entire marriage and divorce process until the invitation appears in your inventory.
