Where Winds Meet – How to Unlock the Fivefold Bleed

If you’re interested in adding Fivefold Bleed to your build in Where Winds Meet, then you will have to be patient until the game opens up a bit. This Inner Art is obtained after you reach Kaifeng, and complete an exploration quest located near the Grand Imperial Temple. Here are the exact steps to unlock it, and to understand exactly what it does.

Finding the Quest That Gives Fivefold Bleed

After making your way to Kaifeng, simply walk into the central part of the city. On the right side of the main gate, you will find the Grand Imperial Temple, which is the main place for all the things you need. Within the temple, you will encounter an Exploration Quest labelled “A Faltering Flame.” Completing that quest will reward you with the tome for the Fivefold Bleed.

Unlike some of the trickier exploration quests in the game, this one is fairly relaxed. Your job is to assist a monk who’s struggling to gather his disciples and set their lamps correctly around the temple. The game points you toward every step, so there’s no real room to get lost. There is one slowdown, though:

  • You can only talk to one disciple per in-game day.
  • If you want to avoid waiting around, open the Clock through the Escape/Start menu and fast-forward time.

How to Complete the Quest

To move through this quest, begin by talking to the Lamp-lighting Monk inside the temple. From there, go outside and track down Benevolent Li. Once you’ve spoken with him, return to the monk and complete the minigame, which simply involves sliding the glowing lamp into the highlighted empty spot on the board.

After that, you’ll need to move the in-game time forward to the next day. You’ll repeat this routine—interacting with one disciple per in-game day—until all of them are finished. When every lamp has been aligned, the quest concludes and you receive the Fivefold Bleed tome.

Fivefold Bleed – What it Actually Does

Fivefold Bleed is a general-use Inner Art, meaning you can slot it in no matter what weapon or martial style you’re running. With it equipped, your attacks gain a 10% chance to put a stack of Weeping Blood on your target. This effect deals a small ticking damage for a few seconds, and each new stack refreshes the duration, up to a total of five stacks. When the fifth stack lands, all stacks clear and explode for a small burst of damage.
