Where Winds Meet – How to Unlock Soaring Spin

In Where Winds Meet, Soaring Spin is a hidden ability in Kaifeng after you reach level 32 and complete the first chapter. Obtaining the hidden ability will require exploration experience along with tactical combat, skillful navigation of caves, outposts, and pursuing secret tunnels. This guide will walk you through all the steps for collecting the keys of a guarded stronghold, climbing the massive statue in the Secret Edict Chamber to obtain Soaring Spin.

How to Unlock the Soaring Spin

You can find Soaring Spin in a secret temple in Kaifeng, the game’s second main region. In order to unlock that area, you must be level 32 and have completed the first chapter. So, expect to do some exploration, fighting, and intentional movement before you can unlock the Soaring Spin mechanic. Here are the steps to get that ability:

Step 1: Gathering the Keys

Start your trip at the south end of Kaifeng City; the pond near the river’s end has a Boundary Stone. What you’ll have to do is face the waterfalls by the Boundary Stone, then find a small cave on the opposite side of the water. Be careful — there are guards near the entrance, and you will need to deal with them before going inside the cave.

Progress through the cave tunnels until you reach a stronghold. Explore the area thoroughly. In the main hall, a ladder leads upwards to a gilded chest. Open it to claim two keys, essential for the next stage of your quest.

Step 2: The Outpost and Hidden Tunnels

With the keys in hand, travel east to Dreamfall Cliff, past the Martial Temple. The outpost here contains multiple enemies — eliminate them and search for a storage shed to the south. Behind this shed is a hidden door that opens into a tunnel network teeming with foes.

The tunnels are mostly straightforward; follow the path and defeat any enemies that block your way. Eventually, you will encounter a golden door. Use your bow to strike the nearby bell, then activate Meridian Touch to unlock the passage.

Step 3: Secret Edict Chamber and Soaring Spin

Past the golden door lies a small antechamber with a Boundary Stone. Beyond the large doors is the Secret Edict Chamber, a temple filled with statues and enemies. The centerpiece is a massive asura statue. To obtain Soaring Spin, you must climb to its top.

Start by scaling the smaller statues and beams to reach a ladder that leads higher. Neutralize enemies on balconies along the way, or use Veil of Stillness, which can be learned at Moonveil Peak in Qinghe, to move safely. Continue ascending until you can leap onto the statue’s head. From this vantage point, turn and use Celestial Seize to reach the chest. Inside, you will find Soaring Spin and additional rewards.
