Where Winds Meet – Heavenquaker Spear Build Guide

The Heavenquaker Spear in Where Winds Meet is heavily reliant on using Timing/Payoff components in place of pressure as part of the Heavenquaker build. This guide will describe how to optimize the Heavenquaker Spear using Strategic Sword for fast Bleeds, weapon swapping, heavy burst windows, and much more. The information will give you a complete overview of how the Heavenquaker build works, how to utilize internal arts optimally with the build, and what mystic skills will yield the best results when utilizing the spear.

Heavenquaker Spear Functions

The Heavenquaker Spear is an ideal weapon for the final hits when using Bleed stacks to create stackable Bleed statuses. Also, with the use of the Strategic Spear, you can use the Sword to deal far more damage than you would normally deal with your Bleed Stack hits.

Players can make instant weapons changes in Where Winds Meet, allowing them to easily cause damage and bleed. They can apply Bleed stacks as well as Burst Damage immediately after switching weapons and therefore apply pressure on opponents during their Combat Flow by maintaining the pace of Bleed stacks.

The initial work of the Strategic Sword is to provide you with means to apply a continuous and rapid method of applying the Bleed status, allowing you to control how fast your opponent’s health is depleted. Once charges of Bleed have built up, the Heavenquaker Spear becomes the primary instrument of attack.

The Sober Sorrow allows you to become significantly more effective at dealing damage and the Spike-Damage inflicts short-lived but highly damaging spikes at the enemy, thus making the move from one phase to another very important for your overall success with this build.

Internal Arts That Make the Build Work

Sword Horizon aims to increase enjoyment while using the Strategic Sword. When you successfully perform a charged attack with the weapon or execute a martial skill, you may utilize Sword Horizon to inflict a follow-up strike.

After attacking your foes with Bleed stacks five times, any Bleed Damage that is dealt to them after this point will affect their health significantly. In addition, by completing your combos, activating your character, and immediately switching to spear, you will be able to increase the amount of Bleed Damage that your characters can receive from the enemy.

Wolfchaser’s Art: This internal art allows the spear to be the main weapon for this build since, with this art, it will take 8 instead of 10 total hits to fully charge the weapon skill for Sober Sorrow. Having 8 hits instead of 10 is a big bonus in these types of battles where you may not have a chance to strike your opponent.

In addition to their indirect impact through combos, Bleed hits add bonus points directly when you hit an enemy that is already Bleeding. Because Bleed is available in every build of the game, there will be plenty of opportunities to gain bonus points via Bleeding enemies.

Morale Chant is better than spear/sword loop due to its adaptiveness; it allows for extra damages and healing by your choice of use. If you want an option that’s consistent for use as a weapon rather than a specialized weapon, then this will work well in your setup.
