How to Start the Vanquishing the Vexing Vapours Quest

To start the “Vanquishing the Vexing Vapors” side quest, you first need to complete “An Aegis Against the Miasma.” Once that’s done, Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant will send you over to Marshal Donelson. Head to the marshal’s office and talk to him. He’ll explain that you’ll need to use the Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus to get inside the repair hangar and reach the control terminal that’s causing the zyranium leak. After the conversation, leave the room and follow the quest marker to the southwest to continue the Vanquishing the Vexing Vapours quest.

How to Stop the Gas Leak

You’ll need to fix a dangerous Zyranium gas leak inside the Primary Repair Hangar. The air here is toxic, so you’ll rely on your Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus to stay alive while working. However, the shield only lasts for a short time or until it takes too much damage, so you’ll have to move quickly. Read ou guide on “How to Fix the Gas Leak in The Outer Worlds 2 Vanquishing the Vexing Vapors Quest” to know more.

Once you’re done fixing the leak, head back to Marshal Donelson and choose the dialogue option “Your zyranium leak is fixed.” This will finish the quest. You’ll earn +810 XP for completing the objective and another +1,080 XP for finishing the quest. On top of that, you’ll get 1,000 Bit Cartridges, “The Dose”, Repeating Rifle Explosive Rounds, and the recipe for those rounds. If your Engineering skill is at level 3, you can also ask for a little extra payment; he’ll hand over an additional 350 Bit Cartridges.
