In Abyssus, to unlock the Fish Deity, you will need to finish a special side quest, solve some puzzles, and defeat a few powerful bosses. It all starts when you place three Pearls of Memory on an altar in the graveyard. This opens a secret path to an underwater temple filled with challenges. This guide will explain everything in simple steps to help you unlock the Fish Deity and earn a powerful reward.
How to Unlock Fish Deity
Once you finish the Echoes of the Drowned side quest and place the three Pearls of Memory on the altar in the centre of the graveyard. This will trigger a whirlpool that pulls you down into the Sunken Temple of Thal’Zuur.
Inside the temple, you will face a bunch of water-pressure puzzles. These puzzles are different every time. You need to watch the glowing symbols on the walls; they show the right order to turn the valves. Once you finish these puzzles, you will unlock the Chamber of the Heralds, where the real puzzle starts.
Chamber of the Heralds
After you enter the Chamber of Heralds, you need to defeat three heralds. Once you defeat the three heralds, it triggers a cinematic where the Fish Deity appears and grants you the Tideborn Blessing, a passive ability that lets you breathe underwater forever and call on sea creatures to help you in the battle.
- First Herald: This boss fight takes place in an arena with strong water jets that try to push you into spike walls. To stay steady, wear the Weighted Anklets from Blackwater Forge. Use ranged weapons and time your dodges carefully between the jet bursts. When Torrentblade starts spinning up, that’s your chance, hit it with a charged harpoon shot to interrupt and deal major damage.
- Second Herald: This battle is all about the collapsing floor. If you fall through the floor, then it’s game over. Use the Echo Locator to highlight safe spots before the floor falls down. Keep moving and use vertical jumps or grapples to stay safe. The Maw will summon tentacles; focus on the glowing ones to stun it. Bring fire-based weapons; they do extra damage to the boss.
- Third Herald: In this fight, your HUD will glitch out, and sound-based attacks will mute your ability cues. Equip the Sonar Helm to reduce the effects. Watch for visual cues like water ripples to time your dodges. Use bleed-effect melee weapons; they work great against this Herald and deal the most damage.
Once all three Heralds are defeated, the central chamber floods, revealing the Shrine of the Deep One. Now you need to put the Abyssal Scale that you got from the second Herald and the Silent Pearl from the third Herald on the shrine to get your reward. Once you do that, the Fish Deity will grant you the Tideborn Blessing.
