Trouble in Paradise is a side quest in Dying Light: The Beast, where you are tasked with reclaiming a safe house that has been overwhelmed by Infected. Starting from your Old Hideout in the Industrial Zone, you will visit Paradise Island, fight off numerous foes, power up the safe house again, and complete some necessary tasks. This guide will walk you through the steps necessary for clearing the island and taking rewards as easily as possible.
How to Start the Quest

When you visit your Old Hideout in the Industrial Zone, you will meet two siblings who want you to clear out the Infected so that they can reclaim their safe house. What starts as a simple mission quickly unfolds into a layered quest with hidden tasks across the nearby Paradise Island. The island has another safe house so make sure to activate it for convenience. The place is also heavily populated by Biters and a Goon, so be prepared with your best weapons. In case you seem to stall for a bit, a quick lap around the island usually resets enemies.
Clearing Paradise Island

After landing, your first task is to eliminate the immediate threats. The island is crowded with Biters, so be strategic and make sure your gear is ready. Clearing the area gives you a chance to explore safely and locate key points like the disabled UV light at the main house and the tower nearby, which houses a power box at its base. There’s also a small optional safe house at the top of the tower if you want an additional fast travel point.
Restoring Power & Completing the Objectives

Follow the blue wire from the tower’s power box to a small hut beside the main house. Inside, flip the main switch and grab the letter on the side table. If the switch doesn’t activate, check behind the hut, where another blue wire leads into the water. Unplug the damaged cable, then head back to the main house to locate a replacement fuse.
There’s a hidden entrance behind some bushes where you’ll find additional loot and a few Infected to deal with. Once you have the fuse, return to the hut and install it. This will trigger an alarm, drawing more Infected, so be ready with ranged weapons or a flamethrower to handle the Runners.
Once the fuse is installed, three main objectives remain: destroy the speaker, raise the bridge, and clear any remaining Infected. Take out the Spitter near the bridge before raising it to avoid complications. After the bridge is up, destroy the speaker’s power box and finish off any lingering enemies.
Quest Completion and Rewards
Finally, return to the Old Hideout and speak with the siblings to complete the quest. Completing “Trouble in Paradise” rewards you with the Bruiser Cap and two Beginner Manual Pages. The quest combines exploration, combat, and problem-solving, making it one of the more dynamic and rewarding sidequests in Dying Light: The Beast.
