Titan Quest 2: The Trickster’s Shrine Quest Guide

The Trickster’s Shrine is a fun little side quest in Titan Quest 2 that involves solving a riddle. It’s actually one of the easier shrine puzzles in the game. In this guide, we will show you exactly where to find the items you need, how to start the quest, and how to complete the puzzle step by step.

How to Start the Trickster’s Shrine

You can find the Caduceus in a small bandit camp northeast of Pyrgos, in the Southern Flooded Farmland. There aren’t many enemies there, so it’s a pretty quick fight. Once you grab the staff, head to the Shrieking Shrine, also northwest of Pyrgos, but a bit further north than where you found the Caduceus. When you reach the shrine, place the staff on the pedestal in the middle to begin the quest called “The Trickster Shrine.”

How to Find the Turtle for the Trickster’s Shrine

After placing the Staff of Hermes at the Shrieking Ruins, you will be given a riddle to solve. It’s pretty simple. All you need to do is lead a turtle into the fire pit at the ruins.

You can find a turtle just southwest of the ruins’ entrance. It’s easy to spot since there is an interactive item nearby called “Turtle Eggs.” If there’s no turtle there, it probably means you already killed it. In that case, just reload your game or respawn enemies to make it appear again.

Once you find the turtle, don’t attack it. Instead, slowly lead it to the fire pit inside the ruins. Keep an eye out for a shimmering yellow glow around the pit. That means the turtle is close enough. Now you can safely kill it. Once the fire pit lights up and the turtle is defeated, the quest will be complete. You will see gold shoot out from the centre altar. Now, just walk over and pick it up.
