Getting Started with the Build
Right off the bat, a few abilities will be locked from you until you spend some points in the mastery tree. This is a high-damage, low cooldown spells early phase build focused on improving your impact early on without draining your mana.
You want to put your points into Intelligence since it scales your spell damage directly. Strength and Dexterity are secondary stats for this build. In addition, after you’ve gotten strong enough Intelligence to burst enemies down, you might want to throw some points into Dexterity. Dexterity raises your offensive capabilities (critical chance) and defensive capabilities (opponent’s chance to miss), both needed for survival in late-stage encounters.
Spell Priorities and Loadout

- Flame Surge – A spell that delivers consistent damage with a fast cast time.

Mastery Tree Strategy

While it does consume a fair amount of mana, it acts as a strong panic button when timed well. Primary Attack
One unique aspect of this build is the complete avoidance of the primary/basic attack, which is slow and inefficient. Accidentally triggering it feels clunky, especially when you’re simply trying to open a chest or interact with an NPC. To prevent this, the creator of the build even unbound the primary attack entirely. Instead, the playstyle focuses on using high-cooldown spells, precise barrier timing, and smart positioning, resulting in a much smoother and more responsive combat experience.
Leveling Fast
During early access, it’s easy to burn through the available content and hit the level cap quickly. The creator mentioned leveling through “levels really fast” but holding off on fleshing out the mastery tree until more content is added beyond level 20. That’s smart—you don’t need to overextend in the mastery tree yet. Instead, focus on:
- Maxing out key damage spells early.
- Picking up only the essential defensive skills.
- Using gear to complement your Intelligence scaling.
Gear and Upgrades
