Tiny Metal Death Pellets Quest Guide – The Outer Worlds 2

Tiny Metal Death Pellets is a quest in The Outer Worlds 2 that teaches you how to get ammo in a few different ways. Whether you want to craft it yourself, use Niles’ tinkering skills while exploring, or just buy some from a shop, this quest walks you through all the options.

How to Start the Tiny Metal Death Pellets Quest

You can talk to Niles anytime while you’re out exploring, and he’ll let you use his engineering skills to make ammo on the go. When the dialogue options pop up, pick:

[Field Tinkering] I’d like to take advantage of your engineering skills.

This opens a workshop-style menu with several tabs like Crafting, Mods, Breakdown, and Party Upgrades. Go into Crafting, and you’ll see all the categories you can make: primers, mods, grenades, and ammo. Just head into the Ammunition section and craft the bullets you need.

How to Craft the Ammunition

You can also make ammo the classic way by using the Workbenches you find around Arcadia. These stations let you craft, upgrade, recycle gear, install mods, and apply party upgrades. Unlike Niles’ handy field-tinkering skill, you actually have to walk up to these physical benches to use them.

When you reach a Workbench, interact with it and open the Workbench menu. Choose Craft, and you’ll jump into the Crafting screen. From there, you can flip through the different tabs and pick exactly what you want to make. For ammo, you’ll just need some Black Powder and Scrap Metal to get the job done.

How to Buy the Ammunition

If you’ve got the bits to spare, you can skip the crafting and just buy ammo. Walk straight to the More Perfect Goods shop right in front of Town Hall. Use the General Goods vending machine inside and purchase any ammo type to complete the task.
