In The Right Tool quest in ARC Raiders, you will need to take down three different enemy types. Each one is found in different areas, so you will need to explore a bit. This guide will show you where to find each enemy and how to defeat them to complete the Right Tool quest successfully.
The Right Tool Quest
For The Right Tool quest, your goal is to destroy three types of enemies: a Hornet, a Turret, and a Fireball. After you complete The Right Tool Quest, you will be rewarded with Cheer Emote, 1x Stitcher II, 1x Extended, and Light Mag I.
Find the Hornet
Hornets are flying drones that roam around different areas on the map. You can find one at the Dam Battlegrounds.
Reach the location marked on the map above. Ping the drones when you see them; their names will show up on screen. If it says “Hornet,” that’s the one you need to destroy.
Destroy a Turret
Turrets are found inside buildings. You can find one in the Control Tower in SpacePort. Follow the path inside until you spot a turret.
Use grenades to blow it up quickly. Turrets are constantly on the lookout, but they rotate fairly slowly. Since they can only detect what’s directly in front of their barrel, you can watch which way it’s turning and then sneak behind it safely. Once you have hit it enough times, the turret will be destroyed, and your quest will be complete.
A turret is a small, unarmored weapon that constantly spins around, scanning for any movement. You will usually find it mounted on walls inside buildings. When it spots a Raider or even just where they were last seen, it fires a quick burst of bullets. Despite its rapid fire, it’s not heavily armoured, so it’s fairly easy to take down. It has around 80 health, making it a moderate threat you can handle with a bit of caution.
Find the Fireball
Fireballs are ball-shaped robots often found indoors. A great spot to find them is inside the Research and Admin Building in Dam Battlegrounds.
Once you get there, you will also find useful items like batteries and wires, which can help you finish the quest faster. Keep in mind that this is a high-loot area, so other players might be nearby.
After you enter the building, look behind the reception desk; there’s a zipline that takes you upstairs. Once at the top, move to the left and watch out for the security camera in the centre of the room. Around here, you will see the Fireball enemies rolling around. If you stay inside one of the rooms, they won’t attack you.
