Hunting for the five mural murals in The Outer Worlds 2 becomes a subtle little art scavenger hunt throughout Golden Ridge. There isn’t a quest giver or markers—collect one and the task starts off on its own. Each mural resides within a tram stop, and gathering them not only fulfills a beautiful piece of artwork for your ship, but also levels up the Art Enthusiast perk in the process.
Where to Find All Five Mural Pieces
Decommissioned Autonomous Extractorium Station
From the cult-infested region where you first encounter Aza, head west towards the abandoned Extractorium building. Ignore the big crowd of Glorious Dawn members—you’re not going into their base. Pick the curtain behind the tram stop there and take the mural mural off the wall. Easy in, easy out.
Alexandra Station
You’ll nearly fall over this one. While arriving at Alexandra Station, check the wall on the south side of the platform. There’s a single tile on the mural designated for interaction—pick it up and the quest silently triggers.
Alexandra Monastery Station
You won’t reach this one until you’ve advanced the Golden Ridge story far enough to deal with Victor Clemens. After taking the lift up to the Monastery and progressing through the area, you’ll reach a wide courtyard with bells.
The tram room is tucked in the southern corner. Slip in, avoid stirring up the locals if you can, and take the final piece.
Guardian Estates Station
You’ll likely stop by the Guardian Estates as you assist that “writer” search for his notes. After getting up into the courtyard, don’t mind the main building presently. Go left towards the tram station next to the estate. Inside, next to a datapad and a locked box, you’ll see the next mural on the wall.
Keep an eye out for Scrappers—if you’re trying to avoid a shootout, be sneaky because they can trigger nearby Automechs.
N-Ray Range Station
The front gate of the N-Ray Range is shut tight when you reach it, so take the side route inside. Work your way through the facility, picking up the N-Ray Scanner from the researcher if you can—it makes those weird phased enemies a lot less of a headache.
Eventually, you’ll find an elevator that spits you back out into the open area behind the locked entrance. Before heading off, check the adjacent room. There’s a collapsed tram line here, and the mural tile is waiting inside the station at the far end. Scoop it up.
What You Get for Completing It
Other than XP, gathering each mural slowly increases the Art Enthusiast perk. After placing all five, you gain its last advantage, which provides your allies with a nice XP boost to gain from their kills. It’s a useful passive boost if you rely on your crew in battles.
Back on the Incognito, the completed five-part painting will be hanging close to the stairs of the cockpit. It’s a tidy little addition and one of the nicer trinkets in the game.
