In The Outer Worlds 2, you can collect a variety of adorable and quirky pets to keep you company on your adventures. Some can be bought from vendors, others are rewards for completing missions, and a few come with the Premium Edition of the game. Each pet is unique, but you can only have one active at a time aboard your ship, The Incognito. This guide will show you where to find all 11 pets in the game, how to unlock them, and what you’ll need to add them to your collection.
All 11 PET Locations (Hatchling Catcher) in The Outer Worlds 2
In The Outer Worlds 2, there are three main ways to get pets: you can earn them as mission rewards, buy them from specific vendors across Arcadia, or get them automatically if you own the Premium Edition of the game.
Even though you can collect several pets, only one can be active at a time. The good news is that you can switch between them whenever you want. To do that, head to the ground floor of your ship, The Incognito. Look for the room with all the lockers that’s where you’ll find the Pet Feeder device. Interact with it when you have more than one pet, and a list will pop up showing all your companions. From there, you can pick which pet you want to hang out with on your ship.
Lucy
You can find Lucy, a free Crabble companion, on Paradise Island. Head to the southern area of the map where the Crabble Farm is. When you first meet her, Lucy’s not feeling well. Talk to Crabble Rancher Casey to find out what’s wrong. If your Medical skill is at least level 5, you’ll be able to help her recover and once she’s better, you can take Lucy in as your pet.
Hover Drone
This one could be found at Hazel’s Automated Wares and Repairs in Paradise Island. Simply go to the Quartermaster Automech and buy a Hover Drone from him for 850 Bits.
Zyranium Mantiwasp
You will have to make your way to the Fort Endurance Weapon Shop in Golden Ridge for this one. Inside, you’ll be greeted with Bonnie the Battlefront Barker. You can get the Zyranium Mantiwasp for 1,700 Bits.
Gold Canid & Raptidon Juvenile
For this one you’ll have to travel all the way to the ACS Undisputed Claim. Find the General Goods Peddler there and she will sell you the Gold Canid for 4,868 Bits & the Raptidon Juvenile for 3,895 Bits.
Crabble Hatchling
To get your hands on this one, you’ll have to travel near the Vending Machine in Cloister, where you’ll find Order Purveyor Elwood. You can get the Crabble Hatchling from him for 2,921 Bits.
Ursopod Cub
Go to the location marked on the map above. Inside the icy cave, you will find a Frightened Ursopod Cub. You need to ask Inez to calm the cub. After you have calmed down the Cub, he will be ready as a pet in your ship.
Cystpig
During the A Most Extraordinary Specimen release, all the cage doors. At the corner, you will find the Cystpig in a cage. Open the cage and interact with it to get it as your pet.
Icy Mantiwasp
You can buy the Icy Mantiwasp from the Quartermaster Applebroog in the Winter Grasp for 2850. After buying it from the ship the pet will be available in your ship.
Raptidon Juvenile 2
Go to the location marked on the map above. You will find the Raptidon Juvenile inside the pod. It is a weak and hungry Raptidon Juvenile, so offer it some food and it will be ready as a pet in your ship.
Electric Mantiwasp
You can get this pet from Quartermaster Owsley at the Military Supply Surplus in Auntie’s Border Camp on Praetor. To reach the camp, just head west from the Landing Pad and then follow the road south. The Electric Mantiwasp will cost you 3,000 Bits.
