The Last Wish Quest Guide in KCD2 Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC

The Last Wish is a short quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 – Mysteria Ecclesiae. In this quest, you help a monk named Constantine who feels sad and lost during the sickness in the monastery. You can start the quest by talking to him in the garden or by speaking to Brother Athanasius upstairs near the library. What you say to them will decide if Constantine goes back to his room or stays in the garden to find peace.

The Last Wish Quest

You can start The Last Wish quest in two different ways, depending on which NPC you talk to. The faster route is to start it with Constantine, as it skips a few steps and only requires one short objective.

First, head to the gardens east of the infirmary and talk to Monk Constantine. Choose these dialogue options:

  • “What are you doing in the garden?”
  • “Why aren’t you with the others?”
  • “I will help you deliver your message.”

You can start the quest by speaking to Brother Athanasius on the top floor of the monastery, right above the library. Go up the stairs near the library to reach the monks’ quarters and talk to him. Choose the dialogue:

  • “Are you Athanasius by any chance?”
  • “I think he ought to stay in the garden.” Doing this will immediately complete the quest.

Depending on what you’ve done before, you may also get two extra dialogue options: “The herbalist Joachim would let him stay in the garden” (if you spoke to Joachim after finding Constantine). Or “I will try to persuade him” (if you didn’t pass the earlier Speech check with Constantine).

After this, you can talk to Constantine again. Choose “Athanasius wants you to come back,” then either pass one of the three easy Speech checks to convince him to return to his cell, or tell him “I think you ought to stay here” to let him remain in the garden. Either choice will complete the quest.
