After bringing down the Beast in Bait and the Beast, you’re nearly at the end of Dying Light: The Beast. The Last Supper is the final—and longest—main quest in the game, culminating in an epic showdown with the Baron himself. Getting there is no small feat, though, as this mission throws everything at you: tricky navigation, hordes of soldiers, a gauntlet of Behemoths, and the toughest boss in the game.
Getting in to the Castle

Kyle starts the quest outside the Baron’s island fortress. Aiden was captured attempting to face the Baron alone, so it’s your job to sneak in. Begin by swimming due north across the lake to the island and then enter the tunnels underneath the stronghold.
The tunnels are mostly linear, but they involve several C4 placements and climbing sections. Blow the first wall, run the path forward, and use wall runs and ledges to progress deeper. You’ll weave between interior and exterior areas, smashing barricades, scaling vents, and eventually planting three charges along the way. At the end, pick a locked door to emerge outside the tunnels, closer to the castle walls.
Clearing the Snipers and Soldiers

The moment you pop out, you will be fired upon by the Baron’s snipers. In co-op, it’s recommended to go loud with Shotguns and Revolvers—snipers won’t provide you with the space to use melee. Solo players, on the other hand, should approach differently. Thin out enemies using stealth, then transition to a Marksman Rifle to easily pick off threats at a distance.
Keep rolling, looting corpses and boxes for ammunition as you move forward. After taking care of the snipers, open up the big gates to allow your friends to join the battle and assist you in driving back the Baron’s forces.
Hunting the Baron Through the Castle

Inside, gunfights continue. Clear the initial room, then use the elevator to pursue the Baron deeper into the fortress. You’ll eventually reach a train tunnel patrolled by enemies. Prioritize the sniper on the bridge, either with a headshot or by blowing the canister beside him, then use the car ahead to rush through the tunnel rather than fighting every soldier.
This sets up a familiar place: the laboratory at the beginning of the game. The provocation of ammo here is an obvious sign—something is about to hit.
The Chimera Gauntlet

The Baron unleashes wave upon wave of Behemoth Chimeras here, four in all. They behave much like previous battles: wide swings, shockwave slams, and car-throwing attacks. Dodge their telegraphed attacks and stay at their backs, reserve guns—melee is better.
The secret is to time your Beast mode wisely. Battle as usual for the first two Behemoths, then turn on Beast mode after the third shows up. That way, you can quickly whittle down the second Behemoth while getting Lydia ready to take control of it. Do this again and again, targeting whichever monster has the least amount of health, until Lydia converts them all into your allies. With the Behemoths unleashing destruction on the Baron’s soldiers, you can proceed unimpeded.
Navigating the Maze

The inside of the fortress is a maze, but the key path goes like this:
- Use the switch nearby to open the first door and clear out the enemies within.
- Proceed down a hallway by taking the first right, unlock the door that follows, and kill the soldiers behind.
- Go straight from this room to the door with the broken window, turn left to open an adjacent door that has a switch and is sealed.
- Battle through to Cell Block 1C, where Aiden is being held. Rescue him, and the two of you are reunited at last.
The Final Confrontation: The Baron
With Spike, Aiden, and Lydia in tow, it’s time to take on the Baron in a fight that presses every mechanism you’ve learned to their limits. This is the only boss in the game with two full health bars, and it plays out over several phases.
Human Baron

The initial phase involves fighting the Baron and his soldiers. Clear the soldiers first to avoid distractions, then attack the Baron. He uses a grenade launcher, which is slow but damaging if it lands. Avoid the explosions, charge in with a few hits, then retreat before he launches a grenade straight at your location. Random Runners will pop up every now and then—use your Shotgun to kill them quickly.
When the Baron’s health falls to approximately one-third, Aiden leaves to assist Lydia, leaving you on your own with him.
Beast Baron – First Phase

The Baron becomes monstrous in power. His combos always conclude with a ground pound, making counterattacks unsafe. Instead, stay back, bait his attacks, and punish for brief windows. Ranged weapons such as the Sawblade Launcher can be useful here if shot at his head.
Beast Baron – Second Phase

When it is the last phase, his combos are more aggressive and deadly. His most fatal attack is the ultra ground pound, which generates a shockwave throughout the arena. The only option for avoiding it is to jump right after he lands. He also acquires a deceptively fake backward retreat that prepares a sudden lunge, so be prepared to sidestep.
Patience is what you need here. Don’t overexert, control your stamina well, and consider each dodge more valuable than each hit. If you remain disciplined, eventually, the Baron will drop.
