The Grey Forest Ruins puzzle in Crimson Desert is one of the symbol-alignment challenges you’ll find while exploring the northern part of The Grey Forest. It involves rotating a mechanism to match different symbols, which then activates light beams to unlock a hidden chamber. Solving it rewards you with a special treasure. In this guide, we will tell you about the Grey Forest Ruins solution in Crimson Desert.
The Grey Forest Ruins in Crimson Desert

The Grey Forest Ruins are found in the northern section of The Grey Forest, located just east of Mount Benus. It is found near the Venus Bandits’ Hideout. On your map, the location will show up as Mysterious Energy, so it’s easy to find once you get close.
When you reach the Grey Forest Mysterious Energy puzzle, you will find a rotating mechanism. The goal is to line up the correct symbols so that all three light beams activate and open the centre chamber.
The Grey Forest Ruins Solution

Start by interacting with the device and using the stab action to control the rotating ring. Move it to the right first, then speed it up slightly until the bottom symbol lines up with the jug-shaped icon. Once it is in place, stop and release it. This activates the first beam of light.

Next, move the ring to the right again until the bottom section reaches the oval mirror-like symbol a short distance away. Line it up carefully and release it. That will trigger the second beam.

For the final symbol, you need to move to the left and continue rotating until you head back around toward the horse symbol. Before you can finish, you will notice a pillar blocking the path. Exit the mechanism, move the pillar out of the way, then interact with the puzzle again.
After clearing the obstacle, rotate the ring until the horse symbol lines up correctly. Once it locks into place, the third beam activates, all three lights connect, and the centre section opens. Inside, you can collect your reward, and the Grey Forest puzzle is complete.
