Like all online games, the ESO servers can be maintained offline. When that happens, players will get various server errors. Are the The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) Servers Down

On 12 November at 11 AM PDT, the ESO servers appear to be experiencing issues and malfunctioning. Officially, the servers are online, but user reports suggest an issue. Stay tuned for updates.

Update 09 July 2024: TES Online North American and European PC/Mac megaservers will be offline for patch maintenance from 4:00 AM EDT / 8:00 UTC to 9:00 AM EDT / 13:00 UTC.


Update 01 July 2024: The North American and European megaservers will be offline for maintenance from 4:00 AM EDT / 8:00 UTC to 12:00 PM EDT / 16:00 UTC on 1 July 2024. You will get a server error if you try to play the game during this time.

How to Check The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) Server Status

There are various ways to verify the ESO server status, but you must first follow us on X where we share all announced and unannounced maintenance. You can also visit the ESO Official Status Page for announced maintenance. Downdetector is a website where you can read user reports and see if you have the same issues as others. You can also visit Reddit and discover if other users have similar problems. If too many people have the same issue, it is usually a server problem.

Fix The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) Server Errors

When the server is fine and the error is isolated to a few users, it may be an issue with your internet connection or the hardware. Here is a list of fixes you can try before raising a ticket.

  1. Test Network Speed and Statistics on Xbox
  2. Test Internet Connection on PlayStation & Switch
  3. Update the GPU drivers and reboot the PC
  4. Do not use a VPN
  5. Try using a mobile hotspot or another ISP internet
  6. Ensure you are not using any proxy server (go to LAN settings > Connections.)
  7. Reset the modem/router
  8. Update the OS and the Optional Updates.
