Sweet Dreams is a choice quest in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. It takes you deep into the lore of the Children of Morrigan, leading to battles, big decisions, and rewards. In this guide, we will walk you through how to start the quest, where to find key locations like the Corax nest and Morrigan herself, and how your choices shape the story. We will also cover some common bugs you might run into and how to fix them, so you can complete the quest smoothly.
Sweet Dreams Quest
To begin the Sweet Dreams quest, you need to find the Corax nest. To find the Corax nest, head south of the Forlorn Swords. You will need to do some climbing to reach the top. Once you are near the nest, walk around it and use the branches to climb up to Corax’s home. Lie down in the nest to sleep.
When you wake up, you will find yourself in a strange place with two dead crows. They will set you up for a battle against another Fledgling; you will have to fight and defeat Luth.
After that, return to Self in Morrigan’s Hollow. She will give you your next mission: meeting War. Go to the altar inside the hollow and interact with it to enter War’s throne room and talk to him. War will explain that you will soon have to make an important decision.
Finding Morrigan
To find Morrigan, go back to the Forlorn Swords and cross the sword that stretches over the chasm. Climb into the nest, and you will find Morrigan. She will give you an important choice: decide the future of the Children of Morrigan. Will you ask them to stay hidden in the shadows, or will you lead them into the light to rise and take Avalon?
Side with Self
If you choose to side with Self, War won’t take it well and will accuse you of lying about Morrigan’s wishes, leading to a fight. You can try to reason with him, but no matter what, you will end up having to kill him. After giving him an honourable death, head back to Self in the Hollow. She will reward you with a set of Crow armour and promote you to lead the Children from the shadows.
Side with War
If you side with War instead, he will ask you to kill Self. You can do this quietly without alerting the other agents if you sneak, but you won’t be able to warn her. You can also choose to fight the rest of the Children; they are just bandits now. Once Self is dead, you can loot her body for Crow armour and branded skin, which can be turned in for a bounty. From here, War takes over and leads the Children of Morrigan openly, just as he had planned from the start.
No matter who you choose, the quest ends with you becoming a full-fledged Crow in the Children of Morrigan.
Bug in Sweet Dreams – Tainted Grail
You have made it through the Sweet Dreams quest up to the point where you have killed War and need to report back to Self. The marker leads you to her usual spot in the hideout, but when you arrive, she’s missing. This seems to be a bug. After waiting a bit and returning later, you may respawn and complete the quest normally. It’s unclear what exactly causes this issue, but it may be something to do with skipping dialogue during the interaction with her.
Also, if the sleep prompt doesn’t show up, try walking around a bit more, especially toward the far end of the nest from where you first entered. That’s usually where the interaction spot is. If that doesn’t help, try saving your game, then closing and restarting it. After loading your save, you should be able to interact normally.
Another issue you may have is after completing the next segment. When you return to talk to Self, only one dialogue option will appear. Choosing it caused the quest to get stuck with no way forward. You can fix it by reloading a previous save, letting Self fully walk into position, and waiting until two dialogue options appear. After that, the quest will progress as it should.
