Crimson Desert’s Spire of the Sun is a multi stage puzzle that blends environmental platforming with a mirror and light mechanics – think careful positioning, beam redirection and a little trial and error. Found in the Forebearer’s Barrens and encountered during Chapter 9’s “Unwavering Steps,” the challenge has two outdoor mirror arrays that unlock the tower, then an interior relay of mirrors that must be aligned floor by floor to reach the summit and open the Abyss Gate. This guide walks you through each step with clear, repeatable solutions so you can finish the puzzles quickly and get back to exploring the desert.
Spire of the Sun Location
Head to the above location shown on the map which is to the north of Burhum Town in Crimson Desert region. The Spire of the Sun cannot be accessed until you have progressed to Chapter 9 of the main questline. And the spire is locked with a mirror and light mechanism that must be solved in order to gain access into the Spire.
Gaining Access to the Spire of the Sun
Head to the east of the Spire and you’ll come across the first mirror and light puzzle that you need to solve by pushing the mirrors in specific positions to redirect the light ray into the spire.
Outdoor Mirror Puzzle 1
Move the mirror that looks like the light almost reflects off of it like it’s shown in the above first image. You can move the mirror just by walking towards it and the character will automatically push the mirror.
The above image is just a reference of the mirror’s positioning if you’ve tried to solve the puzzle prior to reading this guide and failed.
Outdoor Mirror Puzzle 2
After the mirrors are positioned correctly, the light is going to reflect on the gem which will redirect the light to the next mirror and light puzzle which is located quite opposite to the spire ( south of spire ), and if you’re having any difficulties to locate it, then just follow the light ray.
This puzzle needs quite a few steps and it would be hard to get through each and every step for the puzzle, the above picture shows the exact mirror positions to redirect the light into the spire. When the light passes through the hole on the spire’s door, this will open your path into the spire.
Inside the tower, you’ll encounter a series of mirrors you need to adjust to redirect light and activate the staircases.
At the path’s end you’ll see a ceiling gem – reflect the beam onto it to trigger the spiral stairs up to the Abyss Gate.
Enter through the gate and you’ll reach the Abyss where you’ll encounter the Goyen Boss Fight.
