Hidden atop a wind swept peak in Pailune, the Spire of Ringing Truth mixes tight spire platforming with a tense boss finale : Priscus the Ancient. This encounter forces you to master movement across narrow beams, trigger the bell lined puzzle that opens the boss arena and then rely on timed counters – especially Nature’s Snare to turn Priscus’s projectile barrage into a punishing window. Follow this guide to reach the arena and exploit his attack patterns to defeat him.
Path to the Spire’s Basement
To get to the Spire’s basement, you’d have to let the bell fall down on the ground. Then you need to navigate through a tight parkour passage to get to the top of the Spire where the bell is located.
Shoot the wooden plank that’s holding the bell, then the bell will drop down on the ground, breaking it in the process and the path to the basement is now open.
Drop down through the hole on the ground and you’ll reach a room with a teleporter. The boss fight with Priscus the Ancient triggers when you try to enter the teleporter.
Defeating Priscus the Ancient
Priscus is a very annoying boss fight because most of the time he’s floating in the air and shoots countless projectiles that will kill you and let me tell you, these projectiles are relentless.
Your main objective in this fight is to use as much Force Palm on Priscus to fill his stagger bar, this’ll make Priscus take a break from flying and you can attack him with everything you got. Also another method that you can opt is shooting him with powerful projectiles that fill his stagger bar fast, like the Bismuth Canon which is a spear that shoots projectiles.
And try to use Focus to refill spirit whenever you can to be able to use Nature’s Snare skill when Priscus starts shooting random projectiles or use his ultimate skill and when he does that, you should be able to use Nature’s Snare as long as you can.
Your attack window is when he divebombs on you, attack him with the force palm first to break his attack pattern and then attack him with your weapons.
Whenever he starts this move as shown in the above picture which is likely his ultimate, you need to enter Focus mode and use Nature’s Snare before he starts shooting projectiles, it might not block every projectile but it will block most of it and you’ll still be alive.
With this guide, defeating Priscus the Ancient should get a bit easier but not less annoying.
