South of Midnight – All Chapter 6 Collectibles Locations

South of Midnight features 13 chapters, each filled with collectibles. Discover every secret and collectible in South of Midnight Chapter 6 with our comprehensive guide to “Hush, Hush, Sweet Cherie.”

Readables Collectible 1: Keep Out Sign Materials 

Chapter 6 of South of Midnight kicks off at a wooden dock where Catfish drops off Hazel. Follow the path to a broken bridge—use your grapple ability to cross the river. Once you’re on the other side, drop down and continue forward. You’ll encounter some obstructions that can be cleared using “Strand Push.” Keep moving forward until you reach a summonable bridge that leads to a Haith combat zone featuring a Stigma. Before diving into the fight, turn to your right—you’ll spot a task for Crouton. There’s a blocked burrow here; use Strand Push to clear the entrance and summon Crouton to explore it.

After that, turn right again toward the river. Interact with the broken bridge nearby to get some story-related lore about “the mountain.” Now, head back and continue along the path that leads through a field of reeds. At the end, you’ll find an overgrowth barrier—destroy it to uncover a hidden Floof. Now it’s time to engage the Haith and take down the Stigma. Once that’s done, head over to the river pier. You’ll find a metal sheet you can flip to uncover another Floof. Keep following the path.

Before interacting with the Memory Object ahead, check the area to the right. Climb up the ledge, avoid explosive mushrooms and thorny bushes, and scale another ledge. Perform a wall run to reach another Floof. From this elevated position, look down—you might spot an additional Floof you may have missed earlier.

Once done, return to the Memory Object and interact with it. Continue down the left path, which is covered in thorny growth—maneuver carefully and avoid explosive mushrooms. At the end of the path, you’ll see a boat. Use it to cross the water to the other side. There, right after docking, you’ll find the first Readable collectible for Chapter 6: Hush, Hush, Sweet Cherie, sitting atop a wooden crate.

Next, summon a wall for a wall-run and proceed along the path on the other side. Immediately after, look to your left for an overgrown passage—clear the blockage and pass through. Perform a double grapple to reach the Floof at the far end. Then return to the main trail, which leads to a Stigma infestation.

To the left, there’s a barn you can open with Strand Push. Go through the barn and exit out the other side. Flip the nearby metal sheet and send Crouton through the glowing hole to destroy the Stigma. Just be careful—avoid the red crawling bugs and thorny bushes along the way.

Readables Collectible 2: Abernathy’s Lament and Health Filament

With another Stigma cleared, Hazel can continue her journey toward the Flood Cottage. Just past the barn, summon a cart and push it forward to climb onto the barn’s roof. Up top, break through the barrier and drop into the barn to find a Health Filament and the second Readable Collectible (2/10).

Now fully following the Strand’s guidance to the Flood Cottage, navigate around the spiked bushes and use the grapple to get past thorny overgrowths. On the other side, there’s a parkour section filled with more thorny vines and explosive mushrooms—be cautious as you make your way through. You’ll catch a glimpse of the Flood Cottage ahead, but don’t head there just yet.

Readables Collectible 3: Burn after Reading 

At the crossing, take a right instead. You’ll find a Floof sitting just off the roadside. Directly across from that Floof is a burrow Crouton can access. Climb up, toss Crouton into the hole, and take control to navigate the tunnel. At the top, collect another Floof waiting for you.

Before heading into the Cottage, take a left at the gates and head toward the water. You’ll find a Stigma combat zone in this area—clear it out, then search for a wooden crate nearby. On top of it, you’ll find the third Readables Collectible (3/10).

Readables Collectible 4: Connection Requested 

In this next part of Chapter 6, Hazel must locate and eliminate three Stigmas within the Flood Cottage grounds. But before that, climb the rocks directly to the left of the gate once inside the area to discover a Floof. Follow the path down to the river to reach the first Stigma combat zone. After defeating the enemies, inspect the nearby story-related toy on the ground.

While you’re still in the combat area, look around for a metal sheet—flip it to uncover another Floof. Head back to the garden area. Before entering the next Stigma combat zone, stay to the left side along the garden fence. Under a tree, you’ll find another Floof. Then, proceed to clear the Stigma at the pavilion. After the fight, interact with the tea set on the table for more story details. There’s nothing else of interest in the pavilion itself.

In the back garden, you’ll spot a small gardening shed. Remove the boards at the back and send Crouton inside to retrieve a Floof. Nearby, by the beehive, you’ll find the fourth Readables Collectible (4/10).

Before tackling the final Stigma, check out the washing line to unlock additional story content. Once all three Stigmas have been destroyed, Hazel will enter a chase sequence, marking the next phase of Chapter 6: Hush, Hush, Sweet Cherie.

Readables Collectible 5: Notes on the Rougarou

With the Stigmas cleared, Hazel can now enter the Flood Cottage. Inside the ground floor lounge, you’ll find the fifth Readables Collectible (5/10) resting on top of a large book on the coffee table. You can also interact with the piano and a raccoon figure in the lounge for some extra story content. While still on the ground floor, make your way to the dining room. Here, Hazel can examine a raccoon painting and interact with a mounted boar head in the upper corner of the room.

Head into the kitchen next. There’s a “Bless Your Heart” picture you can inspect, along with a Baking Contest poster. Across from the kitchen is a closed but damaged door—send Crouton through to explore the room and collect a hidden Floof. In the hallway, there’s a painting of a “Pure Pine” building you can interact with before heading upstairs. On the left side of the hall, at the very end, is a children’s bedroom. Inside, Hazel can examine a tree wall painting, a portrait of Cherie, and her crib. You can also take a moment to look out the window.

In the adjacent room to Cherie’s, there’s a stuffed animal lying on a bare mattress, along with two more paintings—one of Hazel’s dad, and another showing him with Cherie.

Readables Collectible 6: Bunny’s Journal 

The master bedroom belongs to Bunny. Examine the painting of her located next to the bedroom door, as well as another one showing her in a wedding dress. You’ll find the sixth Readables Collectible (6/10) on the left bedside table.

Readables Collectible 7: Notes on Dreams and Fog

The seventh Readables Collectible (7/10) is on the right bedside table. Nearby, you’ll spot a bunny statue on the drawer unit—interact with it to reveal a hidden bookshelf passage, just like in Chapter 1. Hazel can now head inside.

Readables Collectible 8: Missing Children List

Before you begin examining the clues, make sure to pick up the Readables Collectible first—if you gather all the clues beforehand, it’ll become unavailable. You’ll find the Readable (8/10) near the sewing machine by the window.

Now, onto the clues: Start by inspecting the wooden growth on one side of the room—this is referred to as Benji. Then, take a look at the photographs on the wall labeled “No one saw him leave.” Don’t miss the collection of Missing Kids posters, the section with red yarn, and the posters related to the Distaff and fabric patterns. Afterward, Bunny enters the room and realizes Hazel is a Weaver. Hazel changes into a new outfit, and the two sit down for a conversation.

Readables Collectible 9: Burrower’s Hate a Liar 

Make your way through the area filled with thorny growth and explosive mushrooms. On the right side, look for a hollow tree—interact with it to collect the ninth Readables Collectible (9/10). In the same area, search for a grapple point. Use it to swing across to the other side, then carefully navigate the thorny path to find a hidden Floof.

Return to the main trail near where you found Readables Collectible 9/10. Keep following the path until you hear Catfish in the distance. Track the sound to locate them. After the cutscene where they discuss Bunny, head back to the mountain path.

Continue forward, past more explosive mushrooms, until you reach a challenging parkour section with two grapples and a wall run. Before attempting it, look around and summon a bridge nearby. Cross it to find and eliminate a Stigma lurking inside the cave ahead.

Readables Collectible 10: Huggin’ Molly Sightings 

Once the corruption is cleared, check the area for a wooden crate—on top of it is the tenth and final Readables Collectible (10/10). Exit through the only available path, and you’ll find a Floof waiting at the top. After collecting it, drop down and begin your climb up the mountain toward the Tangle.

Keep an eye out—after the wall run, you can flip a metal sheet to grab another Floof. When you reach the Tangle, interact with it to cleanse the area. Doing so will unlock the Collectible Pattern: Bunny and officially wrap up Chapter 6: Hush, Hush, Sweet Cherie.
