In this part of The Outer Worlds 2, you will meet Technician Artley near the Sky Mines in Fairfield. She needs your help fixing a broken lift that has left the area defenceless. If you don’t have enough Engineering or Science skills to repair it yourself, you will need to track down the Sky Mine Maintenance Manual to get the job done. This guide will show you exactly where to find the manual, how to use it to repair the Sky Mine, and what rewards you will earn for helping Artley.
Sky Mine Maintenance Manual Location
Talk to Technician Artley near the Sky Mines in Fairfield, just east of the saloon. She will tell you that the lift part of the machine is broken, leaving them defenceless. If your character has Engineering 2 or Science 2, you can repair it right away.
Otherwise, you will need to find the Sky Mine Maintenance Manual, which is sitting on a crate near the tents on the west side of Fairfield. Approach the orange crate near the green tent. Just above the crate, you will find the Sky Mine Maintenance Manual. It is a repair manual with detailed information about the sky mine systems.
How to Repair the Sky Mine
Once you have the Sky Mine Maintenance Manual, go back to Technician Artley. After a small conversation with Technician Artley, you can start repairing the sky mine. Head towards the machine and interact with its control panel to fix it. After the repair, talk to Artley again, and she will thank you by giving you some grenades and a recipe for a Grenade Bandolier, which adds an extra grenade slot to your helmet.
