V Rising’s Invaders of Oakveil 1.1 update adds a brand-new area called the Oakveil Woodlands, packed with fresh content and bosses to take on. Plus, two new bosses have popped up in the Dunley Farmlands. One of them is Sir Erwin the Gallant Cavalier—here’s where to find him and how to take him down.
How to Beat Sir Erwin’s in V Rising 1.1
When you kick off a fresh playthrough in V Rising’s 1.1 update, the first new boss you’ll run into is Sir Erwin the Gallant Cavalier, who’s a level 46 fight. If you remember the racecourse area in the Dunley Farmlands being pretty empty in earlier versions, that’s changed—Sir Erwin now takes over that spot. Defeating him is key to unlocking the Stables and gaining access to mount-related features.
The battle itself stands out from the rest, since Sir Erwin fights while riding his horse. You’ll need to stay on your toes and chase him down just to land some hits.
Note: With the new Stable feature, you can now park your horses and have them automatically fed with plant fibers for free. Tossing in some flowers boosts their stats permanently. And once you turn a horse into a Vampire Horse, the Stable also lets you unlock special perks to make it even more useful.
Strategies to Beat Sir Erwin
Here’s a breakdown of Sir Erwin’s moveset and how to dodge them:
- In the boss fight with Sir Erwin, he dashes forward at you so try to evade him.
- He will leap onto you, before leaping the area will get marked red, move from the area.
- He will be throwing lightning balls at you–evade them.
- In his ultimate move he will drop lightning in multiple places, again, try to evade.
- He will be galloping with his horse charging towards you for attacking–dodge him.
- You’ll need to be agile and dash frequently to move away from his attacks.
