Seek and You Shall Find Quest Guide in KCD2 Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC

“Seek and You Shall Find” is a side quest in the “Mysteria Ecclesiae” DLC in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. You will begin this side quest automatically at the Sedletz Monastery after completing the quest “Silent Witnesses.” You will have to investigate suspicious behavior that is taking place in the monastery’s crypt, unlock the hiding place of Boleslav Bavor’s tomb, and bring back a relic of value for sale as part of the side quest. This side quest involves some exploration, puzzles, and battle before you unlock the Holy Relic trophy/achievement upon its completion.

How to Begin the Quest

The side quest “Seek and You Shall Find” begins automatically once “Silent Witnesses” is done. You will begin at the Sedletz Monastery located in Kuttenberg. You’ll start at Sedletz Monastery in the Kuttenberg region, where Albich of Uniczow asks you to investigate some suspicious activity in the monastery crypt. Workers were supposedly repairing a collapsed ceiling, but they were actually searching for something valuable and your job is to uncover what they were after. Completing the quest earns the Holy Relic trophy/achievement.

Investigating the Monastery

Your first destination is the library, where you will converse with Crispin. Ask him about the Jerusalem cross and inquire about the monastery’s travel registers. You can either lie and say that the Abbot knows or attempt a Speech skill check; both options take the same path. If you have not completed the optional Foreseeing Evil task, you can initiate it through the non-skill check dialogue on helping to protect against disease.

Next, you will read the travel log from Boleslav Bavor and the excerpts from the monastery accounts. Go through every page so that you have the clues you need. When you are done, return to Crispin to report your discoveries. The options you have for the conversation will not affect the outcome of the quest. Crispin will give you a sketch of Bavor’s coat of arms regardless of how your choices go. Winning skill checks only unlock additional dialogue and increase your reputation with the monastery.

To see the sketch, check your inventory under Books > Maps. Pay special attention to the crest symbol (an arrow pointing up to the left), as it will help you find the mural within the church. The mural you are looking for is on the main floor of the church, below the eastern windows that have been used for prayer. Look for the third mural from the right, of an angel holding Bavor’s crest. Once you interact with the mural, you should receive an inescutcheon, which you will need later on to help you to find that relic.

Exploring the Crypt

Before you enter, put on your Plague Hood to protect yourself from infection. Enter through the hole in the church floor, be careful to not draw the guards’ attention and try to sneak past them. Once you make it inside, close the door, and equip your torch to light your way.

Follow the hall along the left wall until it becomes a narrow passage. The first sarcophagus on the left contains Boleslav Bavor’s tomb, which is also marked with an arrow icon from the sketch. After you’ve examined the tomb, make your way back out through the broken wall, and pick up the armor off the dead guard—you will need it later, but be sure to not wear it in public. Head back to Crispin at the library, and he will send you in the direction of the graveyard near the church to the infirmary.

Locating Boleslav’s Grave

Head east of the infirmary through the door leading you to the Woodland Garden. Wait until it is day if the graveyard door is locked. The key is on a Drying Rack shed that is beside the Herbalist’s house. When inside, check Boleslav’s grave, found first on the right, and clear the bushes to view the crest icon.

Also, pick up the spade situated next to the grave, and dig in the grave. Examine the body and loot Boleslav Bavor’s sword. Equip the sword along with the guard armor. In order to collect the relic, go to the sarcophagus (to the left of the grave) and interact with it. You must have examined the mural earlier for you to have the prompt. Doing so will reward you with the splinter reliquary of the True Cross and the trophy of Holy Relic.

Fending Off Attackers and Dealing with the Abbot

Three attackers will appear automatically; dialogue options won’t prevent the fight. Defeat them and loot their weapons. When you leave the graveyard, church guards will arrest you and take you to the Abbot. Here, you must explain your actions.

You can tell the truth, hand over the relic, and gain reputation and the Abbot’s support in the next DLC quest, The Time Has Come. Lying may result in lost reputation if caught, though passing skill checks lets you keep the relic and skip objectives in the next quest. Regardless, the Abbot accepts that the attackers were killed in self-defense. After this, you are escorted back to the infirmary, completing the quest.

That’s everything you need to know to complete the “Seek and You Shall Find” quest in KCD2 Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC.
