Chapters 6 and 7 of DOOM: The Dark Ages are packed with intense battles and hidden secrets. This guide will help you locate the Secret Keys in both chapters, guiding you through demon-infested areas, hidden paths, and jump pad puzzles to unlock powerful rewards and secret encounters.
Secret Key Location in Chapter 6 – The Siege Part l
Here’s a step by step process for you to make things easier:
- Chapter 6 of DOOM The Dark Ages will begin with players rushing into a combat zone filled with a whole range of demons.
- From the start point, move straight forward down the embankment and enter the nearby forest area that marks the entrance to this large, open-ended level.
- Keep going straight from the starting point, and remember to look at your Automap, which should show the location of the Chapter 6 Secret Key.
- The key is lying on a wooden platform above a set of demons in the woods, but the area is closed off by the red energy barrier.
- All you have to do is kill all the demons in sight to eliminate the barrier and gain access to the Secret Key.
Secret Key Location in Chapter 7 – The Siege Part ll

Here’s a step by step process for you to make things easier:
- About halfway through the level, you’ll find yourself in an arena that is surrounded by flame on all sides – a very clear indication that a major fight is coming.
- Once you’ve wiped out all the enemies in this combat zone, look to the roof above the center of the courtyard to find the Chapter 7 Secret Key.
- To collect it, you will have to continue through the main mission objective, which will lead you inside a nearby building.
- Once you’re in the interior corridor, eliminate the enemies trying to stop you to access the previously sealed path going up. Travel up the stairs, once again following the quest marker.
- Eventually, you’ll return to the upper part of the courtyard. If you look over the ledge to your right, you’ll see the Secret Key sitting on the far side of a jump pad.
- Make your way down the hallway, just before you turn left to collect a set of armor pickups, make the right and destroy the weak wall with the Shield Charge.
- Alternatively, you can continue pushing through demon encounters by following the main path.
- In this hidden area, you’ll discover a stash of Gold pickups, a Secret Area, and a Jump Pad that will launch you toward the Secret Key.
- Be cautious, though — an invisible Imp lurks in this hidden zone. To reveal and eliminate it, throw your Saw Shield to interrupt its stealth, then finish it off while it’s stunned.
