In Silent Hill f, you will find the Scarecrow Field Puzzle. This puzzle can be a little confusing, and it changes depending on the difficulty you’re playing. No matter which one you choose, your main task is to find the right scarecrow and follow the direction it points. If you pick the wrong scarecrow, it will attack you. This guide will help you solve the puzzle for all three difficulty levels.
Scarecrow Field Puzzle Solution (All Difficulties)
You will come across the Scarecrow Field Puzzle during your second visit to Ebisugaoka. This puzzle has three difficulty levels, and each one plays a bit differently. In all of them, your main goal is to find the correct scarecrow, remove the needle stuck in it, and follow the direction it points you in. Do this correctly a few times and you will make it out of the field. But if you pick the wrong scarecrow, it will attack you.
Story Difficulty
On Story difficulty, the correct scarecrow always resembles your character, Hinako. Look for the one with short hair and a red tie.
To find the first scarecrow, look for the one on the left holding a sickle.
To find the second scarecrow, look in the middle. You will find this one standing with no sickle.
To find the third scarecrow, look on the right. You will find her with her head upside down.
To find the fourth scarecrow, look for the one standing in the middle with arms out, looking sideways.
You will find the fifth scarecrow at the back, strung up.
Hard Difficulty
In Hard difficulty, the correct scarecrow looks like one of your friends, except for the last one, and is tied to the clues in each zone.
You will find the first scarecrow behind and to the left of where you start.
The second scarecrow is in the middle with a sickle stuck in her back.
The third scarecrow is in the back bending backwards.
You will find the fourth scarecrow on the right.
The fifth scarecrow is at the middle back, crucified.
Lost in the Fog Difficulty
Lost in the Fog is the trickiest version. Here, the right scarecrow follows subtle visual clues.
The first scarecrow is to the left of where you begin, with her head upside down.
The second scarecrow is at the back, hanging like on a cross with the sickle stuck in the ground.
The third scarecrow is behind the corpse of a fallen scarecrow and not holding any sickle.
The fourth one stands in the middle between Shu and Rinko, who are looking at each other.
For the fifth scarecrow, there will be four corpses lying in the field, follow the direction their arms are pointing, and you will find a lone scarecrow at the end.
