Sanctum of Penitence, one of the four sanctums that needs to be cleansed in order to complete the witch’s faction quest. If you’re just looking to finish the witch’s quest or just trying to cleanse the sanctum then I’ve got you covered. In this guide we’ll show you how to cleanse the Sanctum of Penitence.
Where is the Sanctum of Penitence Located?
Head to this location on the map shown in the above image, which is to the east of Sanctum of Temperance towards The Ironwood area and you’ll reach the Sanctum of Penitence. You’d have to liberate the sanctum before trying to cleanse it as it is part of the process of cleansing the sanctum.
How to cleanse the sanctum?
We need to find the missing cores of the sanctum and in this case we need one of them which is the reactor core that looks like the missing pillar’s head.
Where is the reactor core located?
Go in the opposite direction of the sanctum towards the ruins as shown in the above picture and take left once you reach the top of the stairs.
Then climb the wall that is to your right as shown in the above image, after you’ve made your way to the top of the wall you’ll see a doorway.
Identify this doorway and go inside and take left. There is a narrow path inside the room, following the path will lead you to the missing reactor core.
Use the abyss chain ability on the reactor core and you’ll be prompted an option to seal the core using the kuku pot. Then make your way back to the sanctum.
Now, take out the reactor core from the kuku pot’s inventory and try to place it on top of the broken pillar using the abyss chain skill on it. You just need to bring the reactor core on top of the pillar and it’ll automatically align itself. Once it’s done, you need to climb on top of the pillar and use the aerial force palm skill to push the reactor core in place.
This is going to activate the sanctum and will cleanse the Sanctum of Penitence, shortly after a cutscene will play with the witch.
