In Elden Ring, the Sacred Blade is a powerful Ash of War that adds holy magic to your weapons. It not only boosts your attacks with holy energy but also lets you shoot a glowing golden blade at enemies. This skill works with many different weapon types, making it a versatile choice for all kinds of fighters. In this guide, we’ll show you how to find the Sacred Blade and explain what it does.
How to Get the Sacred Blade in Elden Ring
You can get the Ash of War: Sacred Blade by defeating a glowing Teardrop Scarab just north of the Third Church of Marika. It’s right next to a Spiritspring.
This Ash of War comes built into the Miquellan Knight’s Sword and the Inseparable Sword. Once you’ve picked it up, you can make a copy of it by giving Lost Ashes of War to Smithing Master Hewg at the Roundtable Hold.
Sacred Blade Effects
Sacred Blade gives your weapon holy power and shoots a glowing golden blade as a projectile. After using it, your weapon stays infused with that holy power for a short time.
The Sacred Blade skill can be used on a lot of different weapons like daggers, straight swords, greatswords, huge swords, thrusting swords, heavy thrusting swords, curved swords, curved greatswords, katanas, twinblades, axes, greataxes, hammers, flails, great hammers, colossal weapons, spears, great spears, halberds, and reapers.
By default, it works with the Standard and Sacred weapon types. If you’ve also gotten the Iron Whetblade, it can work with Heavy, Keen, and Quality types. And if you have the Sanctified Whetblade, it’ll work with Lightning type weapons too.
