In Doom: The Dark Ages, there is a challenge called the Rocket Man Challenge. Your task is to kill a group of demons in Chapter 10 with the Rocket Launcher and earn rewards. You will find the Rocket Launcher early in Chapter 10, and it’s a powerful weapon. In this guide, we will show you how to get the Rocket Launcher, complete the challenge, and learn about the weapon.

    Rocket Man Challenge Mission

You need to hit 5 or more demons with one Rocket Launcher shot, and do this 5 times to earn 50 Gold. To get started, first grab the Rocket Launcher; you will find it right after your first fight with the red encounter. Then, look out for groups of weaker demons to blast. There are plenty of them around the level to help you complete the challenge. In the map above, you will find many demons that you can shoot with your Rocket Launcher.

How to Get the Rocket Launcher in Doom: The Dark Ages

You will get the Rocket Launcher early in Chapter 10. When you reach the front gate and need to break through it, you will find a weapon pod nearby that holds the Rocket Launcher. The rocket launcher was created based on grenade launcher designs and came about after the Xyvoran Conflict as a powerful weapon to defend against air attacks. Early versions used a special fire called Wintherin and were strengthened with dragon-like scales, making them extremely destructive.

But when Wintherins were reduced in quantity, newer models changed to regular propulsion methods. The Slayer’s launcher is the last one to use this ancient dragon-made technology, and its fiery blasts give strength to the battle-hardened dragons of the Sentinels.
