Revenant Remembrance Quest Guide – Nightreign

Unlock the mysteries of the Revenant in Elden Ring: Nightreign with our detailed Remembrance quest guide. From activating her haunting memories to acquiring strong Relics and cosmetics, this walkthrough has got every step covered. Whether you’re delving into her troubled past or pursuing endgame power, here’s all that you need to do for one of the game’s most powerful and poignant storylines.

Who Are the Nightfarers?

You play as pre-existing characters known as Nightfarers in Elden Ring: Nightreign. They all have special skills, ultimate abilities, and their own background story to discover. Rather than discovering fragmented lore, most of their history comes out through a main Journal.

How the Journal Works

The Journal is located early on in the game at the Roundtable Hold, lying on a cluttered desk to the left of the Lost Table of Grace. It can be fast traveled to once found, and it contains the memories of all Nightfarers—even the ones that you’re not presently using.

What Are Memory Fragments?

To get more pages in a Nightfarer’s Journal, you’ll need Memory Fragments. They aren’t things that you store on your inventory—they’re consumed automatically when you pick them up. The most reliable method to acquire them is by killing Nightlords while playing as the Nightfarer whose tale you wish to progress.

What Are Remembrances?

Remembrances are interactive flashbacks that explore deeper into each Nightfarer’s history. They contain special missions, fresh locations, and boss battles. Reaching their end rewards you with theme-specific cosmetics and character-specific Relics that enhance gameplay.

How to Unlock the Revenant

The Revenant is one of the hidden characters and has one of the more complicated backstories. You’ll have to do a couple of specific things if you haven’t gotten her yet (check a guide for those). Her storyline is darker and more fight-intensive than some, but it’s worth it.

Revenant Remembrance 1: Blade of Night

  • To trigger the Revenant’s first Remembrance:
  • Speak to the Duchess.
  • Talk to the Guardian.
  • Defeat either the Tricephalos or Darkdrift Knight Expedition.
  • Return the Blade of Night fragment to the Guardian.
  • Finish the Remembrance.

Reward: The Small Makeup Brush, which boosts Rune gain for allies and powers up Revenant when her spirits are active.

Revenant Remembrance 2: The Manor

  • The second memory is set in a creepy, gothic manor:
  • Tell the Duchess you’re “not afraid of the Night.”
  • Sit beside the Recluse.
  • After waking in the manor, go down the hall to the open room.
  • Approach the Revenant to start the Corrosion fight (a swarm boss).
  • Defeat enough to drain the shared health bar.
  • Interact with the doll to finish.

Reward: Revenant’s Chalice, letting you equip blue, green, and any third Relic type for flexible builds.

Revenant Remembrance 3: The Final Memory

  • This last segment wraps up the Revenant’s story:
  • Sit beside the Recluse again.
  • Head back into the manor.
  • Defeat the Contaminant boss (Grafted Scion type).
  • Watch the cutscene and choose: “Bury the Nightlord.”

Reward: The Revenant’s Remembrance skin and the Old Portrait Relic, which gives:

  • HP sacrifice to fully heal allies when using Art.
  • Ghostflame explosion during Ultimate Art.
  • Faster Art gauge fill from kills.

Why You Should Complete Her Story

Revenant’s questline is one of the most emotional and rewarding in Nightreign. Between the haunting story, challenging encounters, and powerful Relics, she’s absolutely worth the time—especially if you enjoy darker, lore-rich characters.
