Reopening the Wound is an important quest in Diablo 4 Season 9. You can unlock it after finishing the quest “To Walk Where Spirits Tread” and reaching Tier 5 with enough Horadric Knowledge. Reopening the Wound
You will be able to start Reopening the Wound once you have gathered enough Horadric Knowledge and reached Tier 5; after that, the quest becomes available. This happens after you finish the quest To Walk Where Spirits Tread.
How to Start Reopening the Wound
To begin the “Reopening the Wound” quest, head to Tirmair and speak with Bryona. If you haven’t unlocked the waypoint there yet, you will need to ride. If you are not able to see the quest marker on your main screen, just open your quest journal and track it manually.
Reaching the Scar and Entering the Cave
Once you reach Tirmair, look for the hut marked with the seasonal quest symbol; that’s where you need to go. From there, you will be heading to the Scar. Scar is the place where Astaroth was originally sealed. Everyone else is already there, so just ride east toward the quest marker and speak with Davish when you arrive. After that, go ahead and enter the Scar.
Activating the Wayfinder
Inside a small cave, you will find Bryona. Talk to her. She will ask you to activate the Wayfinder. To do this, interact with the four Cleansing Incense scattered around the room. Then, defeat the enemy and retrieve the Fallen’s head.
Performing the Ritual
Take the head to Hluttred, the wolf spirit. You will see a bowl nearby. Place the head there to start a ritual. During the ritual, stand in the Horadric Glyph when it appears. Once the ritual is complete, head outside and speak to Bryona again to complete the quest.
Rewards
Once you complete the Reopening the Wound quest, you will be rewarded with some XP, Gold, and a Murmuring Cache. Also, if you have reached Tier 6 and you have enough Horadric Knowledge, “The Unseeable Demands Their Gaze” quest will be unlocked.
