Red Dead Redemption 2 Bounty Locations

In Red Dead Redemption 2 players can go after criminals while getting paid for it; bounty hunting is one of those ways through which players can make money and complete challenges throughout the game. The sheriffs’ offices have posters that display bounties, marking search areas on the map once accepted. There are six different towns in this game where bounties can be found; however, players only have to complete five of them in order to achieve full completion, making it a flexible path toward 100% completion.

Towns That Offer Bounties

You’ll find bounty posters in the following locations:

  • Saint Denis
  • Blackwater
  • Valentine
  • Strawberry
  • Rhodes
  • Tumbleweed

Some towns offer multiple bounties over time, while others unlock additional targets later in the story or during the Epilogue.

Valentine – Early Game Bounties

Benedict Allbright

Allbright is a con man who sells “miracle” medicine that is harmful and deadly. He sells fake tonics to victims knowing they are poisonous and can kill. He operates east of the Dakota River, just north of town. You may collect the bounty at the Valentine Sheriff’s Office, but in order to qualify for the reward, you must capture him alive.

Ellie Anne Swan

Nicknamed the “Black Widow,” Ellie Anne Swan, a cunning and deceitful killer who has killed her spouse in hopes of acquiring riches only to discover catastrophe has begun to entice men with her charm, in order to attack them. She resides in a cave in the mountainous region west of the Dakota River. Be careful when approaching her, if you do not take proper care in your approach, you may be attacked at close range.

  • Reward: $25

Strawberry – Mountain Region Targets

Joshua Brown

A seasoned gunman refusing to give up his violent ways. Strawberry tolerates no outlaws, which puts Joshua Brown directly in Arthur’s sights. He camps at an abandoned mine north of town. He is armed and skilled, making this bounty more dangerous than it first appears. A fast disarm is the safest way to bring him in alive.

  • Reward: $40

Bart Cavanaugh

A drunk but dangerous member of the Laramie Gang. This bounty connects directly to John Marston’s past troubles. Cavanaugh can be found at Gnarly Rock, near Little Creek River, east of Vetter’s Echo. Though often intoxicated, he is guarded and shouldn’t be underestimated.

  • Reward: $60

Rhodes – Trouble in Lemoyne

Mark Johnson

A former robber trying to live quietly. Mark Johnson once robbed trains and coaches but now lives with his family near Bluewater Marsh, west of the Kamassa River. Despite his attempt to settle down, the law wants him brought in. His situation is tragic, but the bounty must be completed.

  • Alive required
  • Reward: $25

Robbie Laidlaw

A loud, reckless criminal with no subtlety. Robbie Laidlaw is wanted for multiple crimes including fraud and theft. He stands out easily thanks to his appearance and thick accent. He hides south of Braithwaite Manor at Old Harry Fen. During the chase, he may attempt to burn the nearby tobacco fields using firebombs.

Camille de Millemont

A delusional Lemoyne Raider leader. Camille operates with a Raider group and targets postal workers under the illusion of rebellion. His camp is located south of Braithwaite Manor and east of Catfish Jacksons. His men are loyal, but Camille himself is not particularly clever.

  • Reward: $55

Saint Denis – High-Value Targets

Lindsey Wofford

The head of the Lemoyne Raiders. Wofford leads the Raiders in direct opposition to U.S. authority. He hides at Fort Brennand, southwest of Van Horn. The area is heavily fortified with weapons and explosives, making this mission far more complex than most bounties.

  • Dead or Alive
  • Reward: $100

Anthony Foreman (Epilogue Only)

A former gang leader running from his past. This bounty only appears if Arthur spared Foreman earlier in the story. During the Epilogue, John can find him hiding in a Saint Denis saloon. He no longer seeks violence and will attempt to flee instead.

Blackwater – The Skinner Threat

Elias Green

A violent Skinner Brothers enforcer. Recognizable by his bear hat, Elias Green is responsible for countless murders west of Manzanita Post in Tall Trees. He does not work alone and will be defended by fellow Skinners.

  • Reward: $90

Otis Skinner

One of the Skinner Brothers’ leaders. Otis operates near Bear Claw in West Elizabeth. He must be captured quickly, as reinforcements will arrive if the fight drags on.

Herman Zizendorf

A small-time criminal operating at night. Herman commits petty thefts around Blackwater and comes out only after dark. He can be caught looting work sites across from the saloon. He avoids direct confrontation and prefers to run.

Tumbleweed – New Austin Outlaws

Joaquin Arroyo

A cowardly Del Lobo outlaw. Despite his history of murder and arson, Joaquin flees rather than fights. He waits along the railroad tracks west of Solomon’s Folly, hoping for his next payday.

  • Dead or Alive
  • Reward: $60

Esteban Cortez

A feared Del Lobo leader. Cortez has killed countless lawmen and leaves no witnesses behind. He hides in Gaptooth Breach, where John Marston must finally bring his crimes to an end.
