Red Dead Redemption 2 is filled with dangerous outlaw gangs, and many of them hide out in remote spots across the map. These gang hideouts are usually far from towns and hidden deep in the wilderness, making them perfect for ambushes, shootouts, and surprises. Clearing them out not only gives you a good fight but also rewards you with cash, loot, and sometimes story-related encounters. This guide will tell you the location of every gang hideout in the game and what you can expect when you visit them.

All Gang Hideout Locations in Red Dead Redemption 2

Gang hideouts are spots where outlaw groups set up camp, usually far from towns and tucked away in the wilderness. When you clear out the enemies in these places, you can pick up some useful rewards for your trouble.

Hanging Dog Ranch – West Elizabeth

You’ll find Hanging Dog Ranch just north of the Little Creek River. Depending on where you are in the story, it’s controlled by either the O’Driscoll Boys (Chapters 1-6) or the Laramie Gang (in the Epilogue). This place is crawling with enemies, and one of them even mans a Gatling gun in the barn window so be ready for a tough fight.

Six Point Cabin – Cumberland Forest, New Hanover

Northeast of Valentine sits Six Point Cabin, a small but action-packed O’Driscoll hideout. It may not look like much, but it’s full of enemies.

Murfree Territory – Roanoke Ridge, New Hanover

West of Annesburg, deep in Roanoke Ridge, you’ll run into the Murfree Brood. They are found all throughout the region and believe that the land belongs to them. Their hideouts are rugged, messy, and filled with danger.

Shady Belle – Scarlett Meadows, Lemoyne

East of Braithwaite Manor lies Shady Belle, once a grand plantation home. Now, it’s been taken over by the Lemoyne Raiders, who use the old house as a base of operations. Expect heavy resistance if you step onto their land.

Fort Mercer – Rio Bravo, New Austin

Head south of Armadillo and you’ll come across Fort Mercer, controlled by the Del Lobo Gang. This fort becomes famous later on in 1911 as Bill Williamson’s base, but for now, the Del Lobos use it to stash guns, loot, and anything else they can steal.

Gaptooth Breach – Gaptooth Ridge, New Austin

West of Tumbleweed is Gaptooth Breach, another major Del Lobo hangout. This mining area is large and full of enemies, giving you plenty of ground to cover as you clear them out.

    Solomon’s Folly – New Austin

Just south of Benedict Point sits Solomon’s Folly. It may not look impressive at first glance, but it hides a surprising amount of loot thanks to the Del Lobos’ secret operations here.

Thieves’ Landing – West Elizabeth / New Austin Border

South of Blackwater, right on the border, is Thieves’ Landing, a settlement completely overrun by the Del Lobo Gang. They’ve turned it into a hub for their criminal dealings, and the whole place feels hostile the moment you arrive.

Twin Rocks – Cholla Springs, New Austin

North of Armadillo is Twin Rocks, a small Del Lobo hideout hidden among the stone formations. It’s not a massive base, but the gang still uses it to hold territory in the area.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
