Every hour in Roblox Prospecting, global server events roll in special boosts that assist you in searching for rare minerals and increasing your luck. This guide has everything about the four event types: Meteor Shower, Solar Flare, Mythic Rift, and River Rapids-how to identify them, timings, and their effects. Also, learn where to find the rare Mythic minerals and how Admin Abuse affects these events.
Event Types in Prospecting
What are Global Server Events? Every hour, in unison, a special event is activated across all servers in Prospecting. Among the bonuses offered are increased luck, more mineral spawns, and other gameplay boosts. The four types are:
- Meteor Shower
- Solar Flare
- Mythic Rift
- River Rapids
At the beginning of every hour (XX:00), one event will randomly start, with a fixed duration set.
What Does Each Event Do?
Meteor Shower
During a Meteor Shower, the event doubles the server’s luck for finding Shards by panning. A red message, “Meteor Shower”, will appear in the center of your screen; pretty pink meteors will rain down from the sky while a red meteor icon will also pop up in the bottom-left portion of your screen. The event is only triggered at night in the game and lasts for 20 minutes.
Solar Flare
During the Solar Flare event, you have a better chance of finding heavy and modified minerals within special yellow-highlighted areas known as flare patches. You’ll see “Solar Flare” displayed in yellow text, along with glowing yellow patches appearing throughout the map. This event happens only during the daytime and lasts for 15 minutes, with each flare patch staying active for 60 seconds.
Mythic Rift
The Mythic Rift event boosts your chances of discovering rare Mythic minerals within a glowing pink circle on the ground. You’ll spot a pink glowing entity in the sky that creates this distinctive pink circle below. This event can occur both day and night but is more frequent during Admin Abuse sessions, lasting for 20 minutes each time.
River Rapids
The River Rapids event increases the number of items spawning in the Fortune River and Fortune River Delta areas. When it’s active, you’ll see “River Rapids” displayed in blue text, along with gusts of wind sweeping over the rivers. This event can occur during both day and night and lasts for 15 minutes.
Mythic Minerals & Mythic Rift
Mythic Minerals
There are five Mythic minerals:
- Pink Diamond
- Painite
- Vortessence
- Prismara
- Inferlume
These are extremely rare and valuable and some can sell for up to $25 million in-game.
Note: Sunset Beach, Fortune River Delta, and Azurite Oasis are your best bet to look for Mythic Minerals. These minerals are scarce, so hunting them during a Mythic Rift event greatly improves your chances.
Mythic Rift
It’s the rarest event in Prospecting. Only one portal shows up per location, and it almost never appears in beginner areas like Rubble Creek or Fortune River. Instead, it’s more common in tougher zones such as Sunset Beach, Fortune River Delta, Caldera Island, and Windswept Beach.
Remember, there’s a special event called Admin Abuse where multiple global events can happen at once. During this time, it’s easier to find Mythic Rifts and multiple event effects stack together.
