Northreach Storage Room Key Location in Avowed

In Avowed, the Northreach Storage Room Key unlocks valuable loot, including the Common Breastplate. Found in Fort Northreach’s third room during the Main Mission Introductory Quest, the key is hidden under a shield on a fallen soldier. Picking up the shield reveals the key. Avowed features diverse methods to bypass locked doors: platforming, explosive barrels, and lockpicking. With the key, return to the first room, turn left from the lore book, and unlock the storage room. Inside, claim the Common Breastplate, an Essence Potion, a Health Potion, and gold. Northreach Storage Room Key Location

You can find the Northreach Storage Room Key in the third room after entering Fort Northreach. As part of the Main Mission Introductory Quest, you will naturally arrive at this location. The key is well-hidden beneath a shield, resting on a corpse covered by plant overgrowth in the middle of the room. 

When you approach the fallen Aedyran soldier, you can interact with the shield to pick it up, revealing the Storage Room Key underneath. In Avowed, locked or blocked doors often have alternative ways to open them. Others are locked from within the room, necessitating some platforming to reach secret loot.

Some, such as prison cells, will have Red Explosive Barrels around them, firing these at the walls will shatter them and create an entry. Also, certain locked chests can only be opened with Lockpicks, so it is always best to stock up a few to avoid missing any good loot.

The Common Breastplate

Grab the key and head back to the first room. From the lore book, turn left and unlock the door. Once inside, take a moment to search for valuables. You will find the Common Breastplate, your first piece of Heavy Armor in the game. Additionally, you can collect an Essence Potion, a Health Potion, and some gold to aid you in your journey.
