Monster Hunter Wilds – How to Unlock Seregios

The Free Title Update of Monster Hunter Wilds swoops in with Seregios, bringing with it high-flying pandemonium and a scary Bleed status. Unlike other wyverns, this spiky fellow doesn’t get unlocked by default; you’ll need to hit certain milestones. This guide will take you through unlocking the hunt, what makes Seregios so deadly, and how to survive the fight.

How to Unlock and Beat Seregios

If you’ve jumped into Monster Hunter Wilds new update, you may have heard whispers about a certain spiky menace: Seregios. Yet this fearsome flying wyvern is not just thrown at you; you must prove yourself first.

Unlocking the Hunt

To get a shot at Seregios, first make sure your game’s up to date with the second title update. Then, hit at least Hunter Rank 31 and complete the quest A World Turned Upside Down. Only after clearing those two hurdles will the Seregios quest show up on your board. Once you bring it down for the first time, Seregios will begin appearing naturally in the game world. And if you keep pushing and reach HR 41, a much tougher 8-star Tempered version of the monster will start roaming the locales, ready to ruin your day.

Meet Seregios: The Wyvern

This high-flying predator originally debuted in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and is notorious for its swift aerial assaults and sharp, scale-based attacks. It doesn’t just look deadly—it actually is. Every movement feels like it’s trying to turn you into shredded meat. What really sets it apart is its ability to cause Bleed, a status effect that punishes you for almost everything: running, rolling, even swinging your weapon. And no, your health won’t recover naturally while you’re bleeding either. Needless to say, it’s a nightmare if you’re not prepared.

Tips to Survive the Fight

Bring armor with Bleed Resistance—it’s not optional if you want a smoother fight. On the offensive side, load up on weapons that deal Thunder or Ice damage, as those elements hit Seregios the hardest. When aiming your attacks, focus on its head, neck, legs, and tail—those are the spots where it takes the most punishment.
