Mixed Signals Quest Guide in ARC Raiders

The Mixed Signals quest in ARC Raiders is one of the missions assigned to you by Shani. It is primarily about to efficiently use your Raider tools in order to defeat enemies and perform a couple of easy tasks. However, you will have to confront the ARC Surveyor during this process. If you successfully get rid of it, you will not only be rewarded with some items, such as a Photoelectric Cloak, but also get some XP.

Mixed Signals Quest Guide

Shani would have given you Mixed Signals as a quest; this activity required players to use their Raider tools with tactics to defeat the enemies.

ARC Surveyor Location

You’ll easily recognize the Surveyor when you see it; it’s a shiny metal orb that hovers and moves around constantly. Once it notices you, it’ll start darting away, making it hard to land shots.

While you can try shooting it, that’s not the best approach because of how quickly it moves. Instead, the Showstopper Grenade is the best.

If you happen to spot a Surveyor that hasn’t noticed you yet meaning it’s just hovering in place and not moved, this is your chance. Throw a Showstopper Grenade at it while it’s stationary. The explosion will either destroy it outright or leave it weak enough for you to finish off easily. After that, just move in close and use your pickaxe to finish the job. It’s quick, effective, and saves you a lot of ammo.

Once you’ve completed both tasks, the quest rewards you with a Photoelectric Cloak and 32,000 XP a solid bonus for a fairly straightforward mission.

How to Destroy an ARC Surveyor

The Surveyor is a big, heavily armored ARC that rolls across the area, stopping every now and then to send out a signal you’ll notice it when it shoots a bright blue beam straight into the sky. That glowing beacon makes it pretty easy to spot from a distance.

As you attack the Surveyor, pieces of its armor will start to break off. These broken panels will drop to the ground right where the damage was done, and you can loot them afterward. So while taking down the Surveyor can take some effort, it’s worth it every hit not only weakens it but also gives you a chance to grab some useful materials from the panels it sheds.
