Stuck at the Memory Laden Ancient Ruins Puzzle? You’re not alone. The game doesn’t really tell us where to look for the combination of the tiles inside the chamber that needs to be pushed. Whether you are hunting for Abyss Cressets to upgrade the skills of the character or just trying to clear the fog-of-war, follow our guide to solve the puzzle and claim your prize.
Memory Laden Ancient Ruins Location & Solution
Head to this location on the map through the Red River where you get the Golden Greed Plate Armor Set and travel south towards Beardtree Gorge and you’ll see a question mark (point of interest) on the map when you get closer to the location, follow towards the mark and you’ll reach the Memory Laden Ancient Ruins.

Identify the ruins shown in the above picture and there is an entrance in the ruins that leads to the underground where the puzzle is located. The entrance however, is blocked by roots.
To clear out the roots, use your Blinding Light Focus skill on it for a brief amount of time and it will burn the wood. The entrance to the underground is now clear.
Make your way to the underground through the entrance and follow the path inside and you’ll reach a room where there are traps. And you’ve to reach the opposite side of the room to reach the actual puzzle room.
You can use arrows to shoot the ropes that are holding the wooden ledges as shown in the above image and use them to cross over to the other side of the room. But if you’re like me who doesn’t carry arrows, use the wall to climb and make your way to the opposite side.
After you’ve reached the puzzle room, you probably have noticed that there are eight tiles that need to be pushed in order to complete the puzzle. For those who don’t want to go through the stressful hike of finding out which symbols, push the arrows which point up/down and left/right. It doesn’t matter which order and don’t push the diagonal arrows.
Where to Find the Symbols?
For those who would like to take a small detour to complete the puzzle, you can find which symbols to push on the trees near the Bursada Castle Ruins, Red River. Which is to the north from the Memory Laden Ancient Ruins Puzzle.
The Reward
The reward for completing this puzzle is an Abyss Cresset which can be used to upgrade skills and also unlocks a new fast travel checkpoint.
