The Live by the Blade trophy in Mafia: The Old Country is all about using two special knives in the game. It’s not a hard achievement, but you need to know the right place and method to finish it fast. In this guide, we will show you step-by-step how to use the Scannaturi and Rasolu Knives, switch between them, and unlock the trophy in just a few minutes.

To get this achievement, you need to use the special actions of both the Scannaturi and Rasolu Knives five times each. The Scannaturi’s special action is a knife throw takedown, while the Rasolu’s special action is a one-hit melee takedown during combat. You have to perform each action five times to count toward the achievement.
The easiest way to do this is in Chapter 5, during the mission where Tino tells you to infiltrate Ludovici’s Villa. In this area, you will find a weapon box right behind a wall. This box will be your key to quickly switching between knives. Start with one of the knives and perform its special action five times.
Once you have completed the five actions for that knife, pause the game, go to the options menu, and select “Reload From Checkpoint.” When you reload, the weapon box will be right next to you again. This time, pick the other knife and repeat the process for its special move. Just be careful not to head up to the second part of the mansion grounds; doing that will trigger another checkpoint.
If you want to farm the achievement, replay Chapter 5 as many times as needed. Thanks to the checkpoint with the weapon box, it’s a fast and easy way to get it done without having to search for the knives again.
