In Lies of P: Overture DLC, you will meet Goddard, a blind painter. She gives you a small quest where you have to make a choice, either lie or tell the truth about her painting. What you say will decide how her story ends. In this guide, we will show you step-by-step how to complete Goddard’s quest, make the right choices, and get all the rewards she offers.
Lie or Tell the Truth – Goddard The Blind Painter Choice
First, fast travel to the Zoo Tram Station Stargazer in Overture Chapter 1. Once you arrive, look around for a woman in a wheelchair, that’s Goddard. Talk to her, and she will ask you to pick up a painting near her easel. You’ll find it nearby, next to the tram station’s handrail. Even though it looks like a blank canvas, pick it up and talk to her again. When she asks for your opinion on the painting, make sure to choose: “Incredible! It is a brilliant work of art.” If you choose the other option, you won’t be able to continue her quest.
After that, Goddard will ask you to find her Art Supplies. To get them, go to the Elixir Research Zone Stargazer in Overture Chapter 2. From there, walk straight ahead and pass through the first two open cell doors. You will reach a big room, as soon as you can, turn right. You will see a glowing blue item on a table next to an operating table. Pick it up, that’s the Art Supplies she needs.
Once you have the supplies, go back to Goddard at the Zoo Tram Station and give them to her. She’ll thank you and give you a Dim Ergo Chunk as a reward. To complete her quest, keep playing the main story until you defeat Lumacchio in Overture Chapter 4. After beating him, visit Goddard one last time at the Zoo Tram Station. Talk to her, and she will give you two final items: Painter’s Sky and a letter called “To the One Within the Darkness.” When you read the letter in your inventory, you’ll unlock The Clear Blue Sky Record.
It’s the final piece of her work, completed thanks to your help. She leaves behind a heartfelt note saying that you’ve brought back her “lost light” and helped her finish her masterpiece. All she asks in return is that you share it with the world. That’s your cue for the last step: head back to the hotel and hang the painting on one of the walls so everyone can see and appreciate it.
