Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 – How to Get Nettle

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Nettle is a vital herb used in crafting essential potions like Saviour Schnapps. While it’s relatively common, knowing the best locations to find Nettle can significantly enhance your alchemy endeavors. This guide will provide you with detailed information on where to locate and efficiently harvest Nettle, ensuring you have a steady supply for your potion-making needs.

Method to Find Nettle in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Finding Nettle in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 requires venturing deeper into the wild than expected. This small green plant is particularly difficult to spot, as it lacks distinct features that make it stand out amidst the dense vegetation.

To locate Nettle, players should explore wooded areas, particularly near bodies of water such as rivers, ponds, and lakes. These plants thrive in shaded, lush environments and tend to avoid direct sunlight. Targeting riverbanks and shaded streams increases the chances of finding them.

The game’s shadows can make spotting Nettle even trickier. To improve visibility, players should carefully examine areas around ponds and lakes, looking for patches of deep, dark green foliage. Additionally, Nettle can often be found in field furrows, farmland edges, and beneath large trees, where it benefits from the shade.

Nettle is an essential ingredient in the following alchemy recipes:

  • Saviour Schnapps (1x Nettle, 2x Belladonna)
  • Marigold Decoction (1x Nettle, 2x Marigold)
  • Fox (1x Nettle, St. John’s Wort, Belladonna, Charcoal)
  • Digestive Potion (2x Thistle, 1x Nettle, Charcoal)

Note: Remember, for the best possible results, players should always use fresh ingredients rather than dried ones.

Acquiring Nettle from Vendors in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Players can purchase Nettle from Apothecaries and Herb Sellers in towns and villages, just like other herbs in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. However, it’s worth noting that the Nettle sold by these vendors is ‘dried,’ which reduces its effectiveness when used in crafting potions, brews, and poisons. There are two known locations where you can purchase Nettle.

  • The first is from Herbalist Barnaby, who also sells Belladonna. If you’re running low on ingredients to brew Saviour Schnapps, Barnaby is a good option to stock up. If you’re low on funds, you can try bartering or using your charm to negotiate a better deal.
  • If you visit Aranka, the local Apothecary, you can purchase Nettle from her. While buying Nettle saves time, it means you’ll miss out on exploring the woodlands of Bohemia. Plus, it will cost you your hard-earned Groschen, which isn’t easy to come by. Therefore, it’s better to get your hands dirty and venture outdoors to gather it yourself.

Note: Although Nettle can be used to brew various other concoctions and potions, you’ll likely want to gather extra for a convenient saving option. This is particularly useful if there are no beds nearby or safe places to save your progress during your travels.

Nettle Farming Locations in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

There are three great farming locations for Nettle near Troskowitz.

  • The first is downstream from the north side of the city, near the Lover’s Nest POI, where players can find at least 20 Nettle plants, making it the largest spot in the area.
  • The second location is beneath a tree to the west of Tachov, next to a camp along the road. This tree is easy to spot, and there are about 8 Nettle plants growing nearby.
  • The final spot is near a hay pile on the southeastern road from Troskowitz, within the Horse Pen, where players can gather 6 Nettle plants.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers a variety of herbs that can be collected, though some are harder to find than others. While searching for Nettle may be a bit of a hassle, its benefits will be well worth the effort in the long run.
